Walk With You

 

I want to walk with You
like Noah

not running ahead
or falling behind

doing what
You ask me to

following Your will
not mine.

Un-Settle

 

Do not get complacent
nor settled in your heart

thinking I don’t care
or of good take any part

that you are okay worshiping
Me and other things

when I am the One True God
to seek and be following.

I can always seek, follow and ask of You, for You are with me.

The God Who Answers

 

What a joy it is
an honor and privilege

to worship and
adore You

all other gods leave us
struggling to perform

You say, Come watch
what I will do.

You establish Your passion over my performance.

” ‘You have refused to obey the commands of the LORD and have worshiped the images of Baal instead. Now summon all Israel to join me at Mount Carmel, along with the 450 prophets of Baal and the 400 prophets of Asherah who are supported by Jezebel.’ “

“So Ahab summoned all the people of Israel and the prophets to Mount Carmel. Then Elijah stood in front of them and said, ‘How much longer will you waver, hobbling between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him! But if Baal is God, then follow Him!’ But the people were completely silent.”

“Then Elijah said to them. ‘I am the only prophet of the LORD who is left, but Baal has 450 prophets. Now bring two bulls. The prophets of Baal may choose whatever one they wish and cut it into pieces and lay it on the wood of their altar, but not set fire to it. i will prepare the other bull and lay it on the wood on the altar, but not set fire to it. Then call on the name of your God, and I will call on the name of the LORD. The god who answers by setting fire to the wood is the true God!’ And all the people agreed.”

Glorifying God

 

We can
follow Him
even
unto death

knowing we
glorify Him
with each
loving kindness.

You establish ways for me to glorify You.

“This He spoke, signifying by what death he would glorify God. And when He had spoken this, He said to him, ‘Follow Me.’ ” John 21:19 NKJV

Rightly

 

For this reason
it is You came

to bear witness
of the truth

as rightly so
they called You King

and all who hear
follow You.

You establish a witness to the truth.

“Jesus answered, ‘You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I came into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.’ ” John 18:37 NKJV

Follow

 

All you
think you want

I can give
abundantly

but there’s more
when you surrender

and follow
after Me.

You establish my true heart’s desires.

” ‘Do not be afraid. From now on you will catch men.’ So when they had brought their boats to land, they forsook all and followed Him.” Luke 5:10,11 NKJV

Instruction

 

Blessed are you
to receive instruction
and to
follow it

for My mercy
shall hold you up
if your foot
should slip.

A laid down life is held up by God’s mercy.

“Blessed is the man whom You instruct, O LORD, that You may give him rest from the days of adversity. But judgement will return to righteousness, and all the upright in heart will follow it. Unless the LORD had been my help , my soul would soon have settled in silence. If I say, ”My foot slips’, Your mercy , O LORD, will hold me up. In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comfort delights my soul.” Psalm 94:12,13,15,17,18,19 NKJV
