Removing Disgrace

 

Thank You Lord
for listening to

and answering
my prayers

for looking upon me
and removing

all the disgrace
there.

Favor

 

Whether Joseph was in
his master’s home

or in prison
there

I made all he did
to prosper

he never left
My care.

I can find favor in difficult situations for You are with me.

“But the LORD was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.”

Genesis 39:21 NKJV

Finding Favor

 

With each flood
of pain and trouble

you can come
to Me

and rise up
with My favor

born out of My
suffering.

You establish Yourself as our ark of favor, so we rise up in the midst of pain and suffering.

“The LORD observed the extent of human wickedness on the earth, and He saw that everything they thought or imagined was consistently and totally evil. So the LORD was sorry He had ever made them and put them on the earth. It broke His heart. And the LORD said, ‘I will wipe this human race I have created from the face of the earth. Yes, and I will destroy every living thing – all the people, the large animals, the small animals that scurry along the ground, and even the birds of the sky. I am sorry I ever made them.’ But Noah found favor with the LORD. “

Favor And Good Will

 

Thank You Lord
for the favor
You’ve given me
all my life

so I can
live for You
doing what’s right
in Your sight.

You establish favor for me.

“But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the chief of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself. Now God had brought Daniel into the favor and good will of the chief of the eunuchs.” Daniel 1:8,9 NKJV

Scattering Good

 

My righteous
will be delivered
out of the trouble
that you know

and I will add
increase to you
as your generosity
is sown.

A laid down life has God’s favor.

“The righteous is delivered from trouble. There is one who scatters, yet increases more; and there is one who withholds more than is right, but it leads to poverty. The generous soul will be made rich, and he who waters will also be watered himself. He who diligently seeks good finds favor.” Proverbs 11:8,24,25,27 NKJV

Another Side of Love

“As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.”  Revelation 3:19 NKJV

I usually look for blessings as a sign of His love.

Thank You, Lord, for loving me through rebuking and chastening.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

I look for Your favor
and blessings
as signs You
love me

but You have made
rebuking and chastening
even more precious
to see.

God bless you as you see how much He loves you today!

In Our Prosperity

“Now in my prosperity I said,
‘I shall never be moved.’
LORD, by Your favor You have
made my mountain stand strong;
You hid Your face, and I was humbled.”  Psalms 30:6-7

I’m thinking of America as I read this.

My prayer, Lord, is “Hear, O LORD, and have mercy on me (us);
Lord be my (our) helper.”  Psalm 30:10   And here’s a simple poem . . .

Our Helper

a funny thing

causing us
to quickly forget

it is God’s hand
that prospers us

and helps us not
to make a god of it.
