No God But Me

 

I have no God
but You, Lord

You are my Savior
so true

and when my pastures
are green, Lord

may I ever sing praise
to You.

“I knew you in the wilderness,
In the land of great drought.”

“When they had pasture, they were filled,
They were filled and their heart was exalted;
Therefore they forgot Me.”

Hosea 13:4,5,6 NKJV

A Tender One

 

I will take
a tender twig

and plant it on
My mountain

where it bears fruit
and all will see

the lowly
become exalted.

You establish the lowly.

“Thus says the Lord GOD: ‘I will take also one of the highest branches of the high cedar and set it out. I will crop off from the topmost of its young twigs a tender one, and will plant it on a high and prominent mountain. On the mountain height of Israel I will plant it; and it will bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a majestic cedar. Under it will dwell birds of every sort; in the shadow of its branches they will dwell. And all the tress of the field shall know that I, the LOrD, have brought down the high tree and exalted the low tree, dried up the green tree and made the dry tree flourish; I, the LORD, have spoken and done it.’ “. Ezekiel 17:22,23,24 NJKV

Know

“Be still and know that I am God,
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”  Psalms 46:10

Being still and knowing God leads to His exaltation.

Lord, quiet us today, that You may be seen and heard. And here’s a simple poem . . .

Exalted                                                      

We know that
we know You

but still
we need stilled

to witness You
being exalted

just as You
say You will.
