“Then Esau took his wives, his sons, his daughters, and all the persons of his household, his cattle and all his animals, and all his goods which he had gained in the land of Canaan, and went to a country away from the presence of his brother Jacob.”  Genesis 36:6 NKJV

After Jacob returned, then Esau left.

Thank You, Lord, for always working things out for us.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Your plans
are eternal

full of promise
holy divine.

We do not
have to worry

for they’ll happen
at the perfect time.

God bless you as He works out His plans in your life!

And They Wept

“But Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him and fell on his neck and kissed him, and they wept.”  Genesis 33:4 NKJV

I wonder if their meeting took them both by surprise.

Thank You, Lord, for transforming our hearts, attitudes and situations. And here’s a simple poem  . . .

I think I know
what I’ll do

and what
I’ll say

but in
the very moment

I want God
to have His way.

God bless you as you meet with others today!

God’s Camp

JerAtNight1

“So Jacob went on his way, and the angels of God met him.”  Genesis 32:1 NKJV
“When Jacob saw them, he said, ‘This is God’s camp.’ ”  Genesis 32:2 NKJV

Soon after this, Jacob found out that his brother Esau was coming to meet him with 400 men.

Thank You, Lord, for never leaving us unprotected or facing any situation alone.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

God sends His angels
out to meet us

to comfort
and protect

and He Himself
is always with us

our Great God
present and perfect.

God bless you as He meets you today!

Pleasing His Father

“Also Esau saw that the daughters of Canaan did not please his father Isaac.”  Genesis 28:8 NKJV

After losing his birthright and his blessing, Esau was listening and looking at things differently.

Thank You, Lord, for Your Holy Spirit who guides us to do what pleases You.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

I will
always lead you

to the things which
please Me most

with ears to hear
a willing heart

and blessings
as you go.

God bless you as you see what pleases Him and do that today!

Even Me Also

“And Esau said to his father, ‘Have you only one blessing, my father?  Bless me, even me also, oh my father!’  And Esau lifted up his voice and wept.”  Genesis 27:38  NKJV

Esau’s plea breaks my heart.

Thank You, Father, for the unlimited blessings for us all through Jesus Christ, Your Son.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Do not fear
you have missed out

do not worry
that it’s too late

for I have loved you
with an everlasting love

and My blessings are
both endless and great.

God bless you now and forever more!
