Looking and Hearing

 

Let me hear with my ears
and look with my eyes
fixing my mind
on You

so I can listen
and I can see
all You want
me to.

You establish what I see and hear.

“And the man said to me, ‘Son of man, look with your eyes and hear with your ears, and fix your mind on everything I show you; for you were brought here so that I might show them to you. Declare to the house of Israel everything you see.’ “. Ezekiel 40:4 NKJV

Eyes and Ears

 

Once your ears
could not hear

now they’re alive
to Me

and your eyes
that were obscure

rejoice in what
they see.

Jesus establishes my hearing and seeing.

“In that day the deaf shall hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity and out of darkness. The humble also shall increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.” Isaiah 29:18,19 NKJV

Ears To Hear

“If anyone has an ear, let him hear.” Revelation 13:9 NKJV

Though I have ears, I don’t always listen with them.

Thank You, Lord, for allowing us to hear what You have to say. And here’s a simple poem . . .

You give to us
an inner ear
with which to listen
and to hear

what You would have
to say today –
all we need to know
how we need to pray.
