Follow

 

All you
think you want

I can give
abundantly

but there’s more
when you surrender

and follow
after Me.

You establish my true heart’s desires.

” ‘Do not be afraid. From now on you will catch men.’ So when they had brought their boats to land, they forsook all and followed Him.” Luke 5:10,11 NKJV

Abide

 

Stay and
abide with Me

here in this place
I’ve given

do not be afraid
for I’m with you to save

and My mercy is real
and living.

You establish where I abide.

” ‘If you will still abide in this land, then I will build you and not pull you down, and I will plant you and not pluck you up. Do not be afraid of the king of Babylon, of whom you are afraid; do not be afraid of him,’ says the LORD, ‘for I am with you, to save you and deliver you from his hand. And I will show you mercy, that he may have mercy on you and cause you to return to your own land.’ ” Jeremiah 42:10,11,12 NKJV

Of Multitudes

“Then some came and told Jehoshaphat, saying, ‘A great multitude is coming against you from beyond the sea, from Syria; and they are in Hazazon Tamar (which is En Gedi)’. ” 2 Chronicles 20:2

“And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the LORD, and proclaim a fast throughout all Judah.”  2 Chronicles 20:3

A multitude of things can go wrong in a day.

Lord, we thank You that we don’t have to be afraid of whatever comes against us.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Salvation Coming

They did not know what
the multitudes would do
but they knew
what God had done

they could not control
Ammon’s hand
but could be held
in the Holy One’s

as they gathered to seek Him
to fast, to pray
to humbly worship
they heard Him say

do not fear
or be dismayed
but stand still and watch
your Salvation come today.

Seeing Beyond

“When He was still speaking, someone came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house, saying to him, ‘Your daughter is dead. Do not trouble the teacher’.” Luke 8:49
“But when Jesus heard it, He answered him, saying, ‘Do not be afraid, only believe, and she will be made well’.” Luke 8:50

Jesus doesn’t hear, see or respond like everyone else.

Lord, please give me eyes to see beyond what my mind thinks it knows. And here’s a simple poem . . .

According To Him

I’m handed her diagnosis
and my heart begins to sink

so I turn to Jesus
to see what He thinks

He answers that she is surely
healed in Him

but others all around her
need His healing within.
