For Me

 

Oh the humility
of Christ

Who contains the fullness
of diety

yet came down
as a man

giving Himself unto death
for me.

Freed

 

Jesus was raised
from the dead
by the glory of
the Father

so we can walk
in newness of life
freely
ever after.

“Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”

Glorifying God

 

We can
follow Him
even
unto death

knowing we
glorify Him
with each
loving kindness.

Making A Way

I was mocked
scourged

beaten and
crucified

dying yet
rising again

making a way
for you new life.

You establish victory over death.

“And Jesus cried out with a loud voice, and breathed His last. Then the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.” Mark 15:37,38. NKJV

Alive Forevermore

 

I lived
and died
and am alive
forevermore

holding
the key
to
death’s door.

*Jesus establishes forever life.

“I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and Death.” Revelation 1:18 NKJV

*My word for this year is ‘establish’. :).

What Death

“This He spoke, signifying by what death he would glorify God. And when He had spoken this, He said to him, ‘Follow Me’.”  John 21:19. NKJV

Even our deaths can bring Him glory.

Thank You, Lord, for making a way for us to glorify You, no matter what. And here is a simple poem . . .

Lord, You know I love You
as best as I can

am trying to feed Your sheep
and take care of your lambs

so oh what a comfort
that my death will have no sting

but be another opportunity
to glorify my King.

Seekers

“In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will desire to die, and death will flee from them.”  Revelation 9:6 NKJV

Stung and tormented by my own sin, I also once sought death.

Thank You, Jesus, for being Life and Healing for all who seek You.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

I once thought death
was the only way
out of
my misery

until someone told me
about Jesus
now I seek Him
continually.

Into Glory

Oh my soul

for it is Jesus
in Whom I believe

and into His glory
I am received.

One thing that was hard for Aubrey while she was in public school, was that she would have different teachers and rooms each year.

Lord, thank You for staying consistent in our lives, never passing us  on or down to anyone else. And here’s a simple poem . . .

With Us

God, You are our God
the One we’ve waited for

all that we have wanted
all that we need and more.

God, You are our guide
leading us throughout our lives

and when we get to death’s door
You walk with us to Heaven’s shore.

No Reason For Death

“And he said to them the third time, ‘Why, what evil has He done? I have found no reason for death in Him. I will therefore chastise Him and let Him go’.” Luke 23:22

No, there wouldn’t be any reason for death in the Creator of Life itself.

We thank You and praise You, Jesus, for facing down the unreasonableness of death and evil for us. And here’s a simple poem . . .

Jesus Reasons

There was no reason
for death in Him

no evil
had He done

only obeying
His Father’s orders

back to the vineyard
He had come.
