God Hears

I hear
and remember

I have not
forgot

all the promises
I’ve made

the covenant I’ve
begot.

**********

The One who hears and remembers is with me.

**********

“Then the children of Israel groaned because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry came up to God because of the bondage.”

“So God heard their groaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.”

“And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God acknowledged them.”

I Am With You

Do not fear
for I am with you

I will multiply you
for Abraham’s sake

and as others see
My blessing on you

a covenant with you
they’ll make.

**********

The One who blessed Isaac is with me.

**********

“And the LORD appeared to him the same night and said, ‘I am the God of your father Abraham; do not fear. For I am with you. I will bless you and multiply your descendants for My servant Abraham’s sake.”

“But they said, ‘We have certainly seen that the LORD is with you. So we said, “Let there now be an oath between us, between you and us; and let us make a covenant with you . . .” ‘ “

“You are now the blessed of the LORD.”

In The Cloud

When I bring a cloud
over the earth

a rainbow shall
be seen

and I’ll remember
My covenant

which is between
you and Me.

**********

The One who establishes His covenant and promises is with me.

**********

“It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud;”

“and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh.”

Genesis 9:14,15 NKJV

Unforgettable

You come to Me
seeking and weeping

at such a time
and on this day

joined to Me
in a perpetual covenant

that’s unforgettable
forever and always.

You establish a perpetual covenant with me.

” ‘In those days and in that time,’ says the LORD, ‘the children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together, ; with continual weeping they shall come, and seek the LORD their God. They shall ask the way to Zion, with their faces toward it, saying, “Come and let us join ourselves together with the LORD in a perpetual covenant that will not be forgotten.” ‘ ” Jeremiah 50:4,5 NKJV

I Rejoice Over You

I rejoice over you
to do you good

and position you by
My hand

with all My heart
and all My soul

I make a covenant with you
that stands.

You establish Your good for me.

“And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from doing them good; but I will put My fear in their hearts so that they will not depart from Me. Yes I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will assuredly plant them in this land, with all My heart and with all My soul.” Jeremiah 32:40,41 NKJV

Happiness

Happy are you
when you do

what is just
and right

holding fast
My covenant

joined to Me
tight.

My happiness is established in You.

“Keep justice, and do righteousness, for My salvation is about to come and My righteousness to be revealed. Blessed is the man who does this . . .who has joined himself to the LORD. Choose what pleases Me and hold fast My covenant.” Isaiah 56:1,2,3,4 NKJV

Inscribed

I’ve been given as
a covenant to you

even to the ends
of the earth

and your name’s inscribed
on My hands

that you may never
doubt your worth.

My name is accepted because of You, Jesus. ( One of the definitions of establish is to cause to be accepted .)

“I will also give You as a light to the Gentiles, that You should be My salvation to the ends of the earth . I will preserve You and give You as a covenant to the people . . .that You may say to the prisoners, ‘Go forth, ‘ to those who are in darkness, ‘Show yourselves.’ Sing, O heavens! Be joyful, O earth! And break out in singing, O mountains! For the Lord has comforted His people, and will have mercy on His afflicted. Yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands . . .” Isaiah 49:6,8,9,13,15,16. NKJV

Covenant

Remember daily
My wonderous works
how I saved
and redeemed you

to tell others
all I have done
and of My covenant
with you.

A laid down life is in a covenant relationship with God.

“Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; talk of all His wonderous works. Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His face evermore. Remember His marvelous works which He has done, His wonders, and the judgements of His mouth. He has remembered His covenant forever.” Psalm 105:2,4,5,8

Last Words

“Although my house is not so with God,
Yet He has made with me an everlasting covenant,
Ordered in all things and secure.
For this is all my salvation and all my desire. . .”  2 Samuel 23:5

Everything wasn’t perfect in David’s world . . .but God was.

Father, thank You for making an everlasting covenant with us through Your Son.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Secured

By Your blood
we are secure

a covenant given
eternal and sure

all things ordered
promised and planned

our salvation, our desire
in the palm of Your hand.

Why Have You Done This?

“I led you up from Egypt and brought you to the land of which I swore to your fathers; and I said, ‘I will never break my covenant with you’.” Judges 2:1
“And you shall make no covenant with the inhabitants of this land; you shall tear down their altars. But you have not obeyed My voice. Why have you done this’?” Judges 2:2

Why indeed? I have nothing – no good reasons or excuses – as I come before Him.

Lord, please forgive me for not always walking in obedience to You. I desire to not compromise You in anyway nor accept anything into my life that You don’t want there. And here’s a simple poem . . .

No Other

I remember what You said to me
then doubt I rightly heard

and it’s a dangerous game I play
with such a Holy word

not that You won’t forgive me
not that mercy doesn’t abound

but the thought that I have grieved You
brings me face down on the ground.
