Laying Hold

It is impossible
for God to lie

so our consolation’s
strong

and we can run
for refuge

to the hope where we
belong.

**********

I can lay hold of hope for You are with me.

**********

“Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath,”

“that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have string consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.”

Hebrews 6:17,18. NKJV

Everlasting Consolation

Stand fast and
hold onto

the gospel that
you’ve heard

knowing you are
loved and given

comfort and hope for
every good work.

**********

You are with me and give me everlasting consolation and good hope.

**********

“Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle.”

“Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting consolation and good hope by grace,”

“comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work.”

2 Thessalonians 2:15,16,17 NKJV

The Consolation

The Consolation of Israel
has come

salvation for
everyone

the Glory of
Your people

pure Light of
revelation.

A laid down life sees Jesus.

“And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the Consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. So he came by the Spirit into the temple. And when the parents brought in the Child Jesus, to do for Him according to the custom of the law, he took Him up in his arms and blessed God and said: ‘Lord now You are letting your servant depart in peace according to Your word, for my eyes have seen Your salvation which You have prepared before the face of all peoples, a light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, and the Glory of Your people Israel. ‘” Luke 2:25,27,28,29,40,31,32 NKJV

Everlasting Good

“Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting consolation and good hope by grace,

comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work.”  2 Thessalonians 2:16-17

He Who loves us gives to us like no other.

Thank You, Lord, for everlasting consolation and good hope, for comforting and establishing us in You.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Placement

There is everlasting
consolation

and good hope
by grace

when Jesus Christ
our Lord forever

and our God and Father
in us is placed.
