In Truth and Love

 

Grace, mercy and peace
you have from Me
for you are in
the truth

walking in love
for one another
just as I
commanded you.

A laid down life abides in truth and love.

“To the elect lady and her children, whom I love in truth, and not only I, but also all those who have known the truth, because of the truth which abides in us and will be with us forever. Grace, mercy and peace will be with you from God the Father and from the LORD Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. And now I plead with you , lady, not as though I write a new commandment to you, but that which we have had from the beginning; that we love one another. This is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, that as you have heard from the beginning you should walk in it.” 2 John 1,2,3,5,6 NKJV

To Walk In His Ways

“But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways, to keep His commandments, to hold fast to Him, and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul.” Joshua 22:5

I recall a conversation with a dear neighbor. She said no one does all that God tells us to in the Bible. Maybe she’s right . . .but it doesn’t change my desire to want to.

Lord, I love you and I want to love You more. Please show me where I’m not following after You today. And here is a simple poem . . .

With Each Step

There are reasons
for all Your ways
and every one
is good.

Oh that my feet
would walk in them
just as You know
I should.
