Washed With Water

As Aaron and
his sons

went to Moses
to be cleaned

so we come
before our Jesus

to be washed
and redeemed.

**********

Lord Jesus, thank You for washing away my sins and making a way for me to be clean.

**********

“Moses said to the congregation, ‘This is what the LORD commanded us to do.’ “

“Then Moses brought Aaron and his sons and washed them with water.”

Leviticus 8:5, 6. AMP

The Inside

I will cleanse you
on the inside

so that you’re
pure as snow

and on the outside
it will be

a beautiful
overflow.

You establish me inside and out.

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of extortion and self-indulgence. Blind Pharisees, first cleanse the inside of the cup and dish, that the outside of them may be clean also.” Matthew 23:25,26 NKJV

I Am Willing

I am willing
I am able

to reach out with
word and hand

to bring healing
to your body

and deliverance
to your land.

You establish healing in my life.

“And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, ‘Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.’ Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, ‘I am willing; be cleansed.’ Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.” Matthew 8:2,3 NKJV

Touched

I am holy
and fill

the whole earth with
My glory

taking away sin
and cleansing lips

that will tell of My
love story.

Jesus establishes my mission field.

“And one called to another and said, ‘Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory.’ Behold, this has touched your lips; your iniquity is taken away and your sin purged. Also I heard the voice of the LORD saying: ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?’ Then I said. ‘Here I am! Send me.’ “. Isaiah 6:3,7,8 NKJV

What God Has Cleansed

source - Wikipedia

source – Wikipedia

“And a voice spoke to him again, the second time. “What God has cleansed you must not call common.”  Acts 10:13 NKJV

We all have something in common; we need cleansed.

Thank You, Lord, for cleansing us. And here’s a simple poem . . .

Thank You, Lord
for cleansing me
with oh so Holy
blood

and covering me
with the righteousness
of Your uncommon
Son.

God bless you with His cleansing light.

Storerooms

“And it grieved me bitterly; therefore I threw all of the household goods of Tobiah out of the room.”  Nehemiah 13:8

“Then I commanded them to cleanse the rooms; and I brought back into them the articles of the house of God, with the grain offering and the frankincense.”  Nehemiah 13:9

God has told me several times to store up His Word.

Lord, we desire to be storerooms filled with You for the needs of others.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Filled For Others

source – thehamandcheeseco.co.uk

You cleanse us, restore us
ready us for use
to be store rooms
filled with You

with Your Spirit, Your Word
love, mercy and grace
there will be nothing
that we can’t face.

Providing Atonement

“For a multitude of the people, many from Ephraim, Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet they ate the Passover contrary to what was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, ‘May the good LORD provide atonement for everyone

who prepares his heart to seek God, the LORD God of his fathers, though he is not cleansed according to the purification of the sanctuary.”  2 Chronicles 30:18-19

Indeed, God did provide atonement  for everyone . . . through Jesus.

Thank You Lord, for cleansing us so we can come to You forever.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Purification

home use pressure washer – wikipedia

I love You, Lord Jesus
please take away my sins

I long to be with You
purified of them

only You can atone for me
cleanse me and set me free

I love You, Lord Jesus
heal my iniquity.

As They Went

“Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off.” Luke 17:12
“And they lifted up their voices and said, ‘Jesus, Master, have mercy on us’.” Luke 17:13
“So when He saw them, He said to them, ‘Go, show yourselves to the priests.’ And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed.” Luke 17:14

The lepers started on their way to the priests before ever seeing the evidence of being healed.

Lord, help me walk forward this day on Your word alone. And here’s a simple poem . . .

On Our Way

You say, “Go”
and I turn
You say, “Show”
and I learn
that as I walk
Your word comes through
and I dance with joy
right back to You.

Exposed

“He who is to be cleansed shall wash his clothes, shave off all his hair, and wash himself in water, that he may be clean. After that he shall come into the camp, and shall stay outside his tent seven days.” Leviticus 14:8

There would be no hiding for anyone undergoing this process.

Oh Lord, help me deal with the uncomfortableness of being exposed and transparent so others can see You at work in me. And here’s a simple poem . . .

Vulnerable

Trees drop their leaves
and stand exposed
to winter’s stare

vulnerable before men
they reach for God
and await transformation.

Let Loose

“As for the living bird, he shall take it, the cedar wood and the scarlet and the hyssop, and dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the running water. And he shall sprinkle it seven times on him who is to be cleansed from the leprosy, and shall pronounce him clean, and shall let the living bird loose in the open field.” Leviticus 14:7

I wonder if the living bird’s feathers continued to carry the stains of the sacrificial bird’s blood as it flew off.

Thank You Lord, for being the sacrifice for me, whose blood I was dipped in and set free. And here’s a simple poem . . .

He’s Why I Fly

Dipped in the blood
that should have been mine

set free to fly
while my heart remains tied

to the One who would die
so I can live

I’ll humbly bear the stains
that say I’m His.
