The Narrow Gate

“Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able.” Luke 13:24

If the gate is narrow, there must be a good reason.

Lord, please help me keep stripped down of any unnecessary baggage [attitudes, false beliefs, prejudices] that makes me too wide to fit through. And here’s a simple poem . . .

Entering

The gate is narrow
Your arms are wide
as the cross
upon which You died

and I’m so, so thankful
there is any width of way
so I’ll strive to enter
just as You say.
