Accepted

 

The opposite of accepted
is rejected

disapproved
denied

but in the Beloved
we’re established

accounted for
sanctified.

When I Don’t Do Well

 

“If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door.  And it’s desire is for you, but you should rule over it.”  Genesis 4:7 NKJV

It can be very humbling to not do well, but it is not a sin.

Thank You, Lord, for the humbling times and what You show me in them.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

If I do well
I may be accepted

by my peers
and the like.

If I do not do well
I can be rejected

but never by
my Jesus Christ.

God bless you as you do your best today, whatever that looks like!

Accepted

“You shall also make a plate of pure gold and engrave on it . . . . HOLINESS TO THE LORD.  So it shall be on Aaron’s forehead that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things which the children of Israel hallow in all their holy gifts, and it shall always be on his forehead, that they may be accepted before the Lord.”  Esodus 28:36,38

When my daughter does her best – an act of kindness, writing, art work – it is cause for celebration. Joy. Then is not the time to correct her mistakes or urge her to do more.

Jesus, thank You for taking me the way I am and making me holy before You.  Here’s a simple poem . . .

Bearing Iniquity

Could You have really planned
for me to be holy?
My best attempts are tainted
a far cry away,

but You send Yourself
all Holiness before me,
and what I can’t attain to
You bear along the way.
