Child Of God

 

Behold how much
I love you
for now you’re called
My child

abiding in Me
and Me in you
My Spirit
testifies.

A laid down life is called “child” by God.

“Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.” 1 John 3:1,24 NKJV

An Anointing

“But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.” 1 John 2:20 NKJV

“But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you . . .and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.” 1 John 2:27 NKJV

“These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you.” 1 John 2:26 NKJV

False teaching had come into the early church.

Thank You, Father, for writing Your truth and promises upon our hearts. And here’s a simple poem . . .

that teaches you
the truth

as you
abide in Him
so He
abides in you.
