You Are Good

Oh Lord You are good
and great in power

guiding my feet in the way
they should go

and in the day of
pain and trouble

You are my faithful
stronghold.

**********

You are great in power and You are with me.

**********

“The Lord is slow to anger and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked.”

“The Lord has His way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of His feet.”

“The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows those who trust in Him.”

Nahum 1:3,7 NKJV

No Better

“Are you better than No Amon
That
was situated by the River . . .
Whose wall was like the sea?”  Nahum 3:8
NKJV

“Ethiopia and Egypt were her strength
And it was boundless . . .
Yet she was carried away . . .”  Nahum 3:9-10 NKJV

Greatness and strength can be a slippery slope.

Thank You, Jesus, for being my stronghold and my hope.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

I am no better
than any other
rich or poor
sinner or saint

only in that
my life is Yours
do I have hope
come what may.

God bless you as you hope in Him today!

Emptied Out and Ruined

“For the Lord will restore the excellence of Jacob
Like the excellence of Israel,
For the emptiers have emptied them out
And ruined their vine branches.”  Nahum 2:2

Those involved in restoration projects go to great lengths to get it right.

Thank You, Lord, for seeing when I’m emptied out and ruined, and then carefully restoring me.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Though I am
emptied out and ruined
nothing good here
to see

You come to
replace and restore
Your excellence
in me.

God bless you as He restores you today!

Trust

“The Lord is good,
A stronghold in the day of trouble;
And He knows those who trust in Him.”  Nahum 1:7 NKJV

If I can’t trust God, who can I trust?

Thank You, Lord, for being my only good, trustworthy stronghold.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

I am good
and the only
stronghold for you
this day.

You can trust Me
for I know you
and have loved you
always.

God bless you as you trust in Him!
