This One

“And He shall stand and feed His flock
In the strength of the Lord,
In the majesty of the name of the Lord His God;
And they shall abide,
For now He shall be great
To the ends of the earth,
And this One shall be peace.”  Micah 5:4

I have been extra hungry lately.

Thank You, Jesus, for feeding me in the strength and majesty of Your name.  And here’s a simple poem  . . .

filled with peace
and of One accord.

Be In Pain and Labor

“Be in pain, and labor to bring forth;
O daughter of Zion,
Like a woman in birth pangs.”  Micah 4:10

Mothers know that the pain and labor are worth it.

Thank You, Lord, for leading me through the painful times that bring forth new joy.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

This feels too hard
and painful
though I know
that You love me.

Please strengthen me
to give birth to
all You desire
yet to be.

For Money

“. . .her heads judge for a bribe,
Her priests teach for pay,
And her prophets divine for money.”  Micah 3:11

It’s hard for me to not desire money.

Let there be nothing
that I won’t do
simply because
You will me to

not for money
or recognition
but out of love
and sanctification.

“Do Not My Words Do Good?”

“Is the Spirit of the Lord restricted”
Are these His doings?
Do not My words do good
To him who walks uprightly?”  Micah 2:7

God’s message to me may be one hard to hear and come from someone I don’t even know.

can’t be restricted
it must go
where it may

through My words
wherever they’re
received today.

Uncovered
