For He Will Save

 

Jesus
our Messiah

came to save us
from our sins

to reconcile
our hearts to God

whose Kingdom
never ends.

Certainty

 

All this was done
that it might be fulfilled

which was spoken
long ago

so we may know
the certainty

of those things
we’ve been told.

Reward

 

We are not waiting
for nothing

for only more pain
and emptiness

for we have a God
who loves us

who always keeps
His promises.

With Us

 

 He is with us
He will save us

He won’t leave us
on our own.

He will save us
He is with us

stopping at nothing
to bring us home.

“This is how Jesus the Messiah was born. His mother, Mary, was engaged to be married to Joseph. But before the marriage took place, while she was still a virgin, she became pregnant through the power of the Holy Soirit. For the child within her was conceived by the Holy Spirit. And she will have a son, and you are to name Him Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”

‘Look! The virgin will conceive a child!
She will give birth to a son,
and they will call Him Immannuel,

Prepare

 

John shouted
prepare the way
clear the road
and baptized the weary

so we can walk
hearts ablaze
into our King’s
light and glory.

You establish preparations.

Rejoice

 

Rejoice
for I have risen

I’m no longer
in the tomb

crucified
for your sins

now I’m alive
in each of you.

You establish my reason to rejoice.

Prophecy

 

Though they bowed
to mock and blaspheme

even this
was prophecy

for every tongue
will confess

and every knee
bend to Me.

You establish and fulfill prophecy for me.

“When they had twisted a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand. And they bowed the knee before Him and mocked Him, saying, ‘Hail, King of the Jews.’ ” Matthew 27:29 NKJV

This Cup

 

Take this cup
that I give you

drink from it now
for Me

for it is My will
that you remember

My blood has set
you free.

You establish Your will for me.

“Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, ‘Drink from it, all of you. For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.’ O My Father, if this cup cannot pass away from Me unless I drink it, Your will be done.”  Matthew 26:27,28,42 NKJV
