God’s Invitation

 

May I turn to You
over and over

instead of
running back

so I may know
the freedom of salvation

the rest of You fighting
on my behalf.

Facing It

 

Lord help me face
the reality

of where my sin
has led

repenting of
my own ways

waiting on You
instead.

The Mind Of Christ

 

For we have
the Spirit of God

and the mind
of Christ

to know the things
we’ve been freely given

to know Him and Him
crucified.

A Great Light

 

Help has come
we have a Savior

for unto us
Christ was born

bringing light to
our current darkness

and forever hope
each new dawn.

You establish light in our darkness.

“The people who walk in darkness
will see a great light.
For those who live in a land of deep darkness,
a light will shine . . .”

“For a child is born to us,
a son is given.
The government will be on his shoulders.
And He will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
His government and its peace
will never end.
He will rule with fairness and justice from the
throne of His ancestor David for all eternity.
The passionate commitment of the LORD of Heaven’s
Armies
will make this happen!”

It Is Advent: Come

 

Out of the stump
a shoot will grow

yes, a new Branch
bearing fruit will come

with the Spirit of the Lord
fully upon Him

and salvation for all
yes, for every one.

You establish a new Branch.

“Out of the stump of David’s family will grow a shoot –
yes, a new Branch bearing fruit from the old root.
And the Soirit of the LORD will rest on Him –
the Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
the Soirit of counsel and might,
the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD . . .”

“In that day the heir to David’s throne
will be a banner of salvation to all the world.
The nations will rally to Him,
and the land where He lives will be a glorious
place.”

My Word

 

How I delight
when you stand

in awe of
My word

letting it grow
within you

rejoicing in what
you heard.

My wonder and awe is established by Your word.

“But on this one will I look: on him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at My word. Hear the word of the LORD, you who tremble at His word.” Isaiah 66:2,5 NKJV

I Create

 

I create
all things new
and the former won’t
come to mind

as before you even
call to me
I’ll answer
loving kind.

You establish “new” in my life.

” For behold , I create new heavens and a new earth; and the former shall not be remembered or come to mind. It shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear.” Isaiah 65:17,24 NKJV

Come Down

 

I need You, Jesus
I need You, Lord
my heart is broken
my world is torn

You say look no further
I have come
your mountains will tremble
and be undone.

You establish Your presence in my life.

“Oh, that You would rend the heavens! That You would come down! That the mountains might shake at Your presence. Men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, nor has the eye seen any God besides You, who acts for the one who waits for Him.” Isaiah 64:1,4 NKJV

Loving Kindnessess

 

I am surely
your loving Father

the Redeeemer
of your soul

who leads you
into the valley

giving you rest
when you need it so.

Loving kindnesses are established to me through You.

“I will mention the loving kindnesses of the LORD and the praises of the LORD, according to all that the LORD has bestowed on us. As a beast goes down into the valley, and the Spirit of the LORD causes him to rest, so You lead Your people, to make Ypurself a glorious name. You, O LORD, are our Father; our Redeemer from everlasting is Your name.” Isaiah 63:7,14,16 NKJV

Sought Out

 

As Jerusalem is called
Sought Out
and the City
Not Forsaken

so shall you be
My redeemed
the hope holders of
My salvation.

You establish the name by which I shall be called.

“And they shall call them the Holy People, the Redeemed of the LORD; and you shall be called Sought Out, A City Not Forsaken.” Isaiah 62:12 NKJV
