And Breath Came Into Them

 

Thank You Lord
for breathing into
and bringing back
to life

my trust and hope
in Who You are
when my faith
is tried.

You establish hope anew.

“So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army. Then He said to me, ‘Son of man these bones are the whole house of Israel. They indeed say, “Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off.” Therefore prophesy and say to them, “Thus says the Lord GOD: “Behold, O My people. I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. I will put My Spirit in you and you shall live, and I shall place you in your own land.” ‘ “. Ezekiel 37:10,11,12,14 NKJV

As Holy Sacrifices

 

I will rebuild
your ruined places
planting what’s been
desolate

My Holy flock
of sacrifices
filling the cities
by My Spirit.

You establish me as a holy sacrifice.

“Then the nations that are left all around shall know that I, the LORD, have rebuilt the ruined places and planted what was desolate. I, the LORD, have spoken it, and I will do it. I will also let the house of Israel inquire of Me to do this for them: I will increase their men like a flock. Like a flock offered as holy sacrifices, like the flock at Jerusalem on its feast days, so shall the ruined cities be filled with flocks of men. Then they shall know that I am the LORD. “. Ezekiel 36:36,37,38 NKJV

On A Dark Day

 

I will seek you out
and deliver you

Pfrom all your dark
places

for I feed My flock
and make them lie down

showering blessings upon
their faces.

You establish Yourself as My Good Shepherd.

” ‘I will search for My sheep and seek them out . . .so will I seek out My sheep and deliver them from all the places where they were scattered on a cloudy and dark day. I will feed My flock, and I will make them lie down’, says the Lord GOD. ‘I will seek what was lost and bring back what was driven away, bind up the broken and strengthen what was sick. . .I will make them and all the places around them, My hill, a blessing; and I will cause showers to come down in their season; there will be showers of blessing.’ ” Ezekiel 34:11,15,16,26 NKJV

In The Day That He Turns

 

My own righteousness
won’t save me
it is as
filthy rags

a pretense
and a slippery slope
a huge
red flag

let me turn
as the wicked
unto what
is true

and so live
forever
by the righteousness
of You.

You establish Your righteousness.

“Therefore you, O son of man, say to the children of your people: ‘The righteousness of the righteous man shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression; as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall because of it in the day that he turns from his wickedness . . . ‘ ” Ezekiel 33:12 NKJV

Dead Wood

 

Pride
never profits

never comes
to any good

though tall
as a tree

it topples like
dead wood.

Only You establish strength.

“. . . it’s branches have fallen on the mountains and in all the valleys; its boughs lie broken by all the rivers of the land; and all the peoples of the earth have gone from under its shadow and left it.” Ezekiel 31:12 NKJV

Not a god

 

I am
a simple woman
and You are
my God

full of love
and understanding
merciful
to all

I am not
a god
but know the One
who is

the Lifter
of my heart
that keeps trust
with His.

You establish Yourself as God.

“Because your heart is lifted up, and you say, ‘I am a god, I sit in the seat of gods, in the midst of the seas, ‘ yet you are a man, and not a god, though you set your heart as the heart of a god. . . “. Ezekiel 28:2 NKJV

Because

 

When judgments
come about

it is a time
to mourn

not to delight
in another’s pain

or laugh at them
in scorn.

You establish a right heart attitude at all times.

“For thus says the Lord GOD: ‘Because you clapped your hands, stomped your feet and rejoiced in heart with all your disdain for the land of Israel, indeed therefore, I will stretch out My hand against you . . .’ “. Ezekiel 25:6,7 NKJV

Willing

 

I know You
will help me
do all You ask
me to

for You love me
and desire
my willing walk
with You.

You establish my willing obedience.

“So I spoke to the people in the morning, and at evening my wife died; and the next morning I did as I was commanded.” Ezekiel 24:18 NKJV

Yours

 

Remind me, Lord
again and again
all through out
the day

that nothing means more
than being Yours
and walking in
Your ways.

You establish who I belong to.

“Oholah played the harlot even though she was Mine . . .” Ezekiel 23:5 NKJV

What You Have In Mind

 

I might think
the thoughts I have
are what I want
to be

but You’ve shown
Your ways are higher
and You know what’s best
for me.

You establish Your thoughts and ways.

“What you have in your mind shall never be, when you say, ‘We will be like the Gentiles, like the families in other countries, serving wood and stone.’ “. Ezekiel 20:32 NKJV
