Taking Heed

Take heed to
the ministry

I have
given you

that you may
fulfill it

as you’ve been
called to.

You are with me so I can fulfill my calling.

“And say to Archippus, ‘Take heed to the ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you may fulfill it.’ “

Colossians 4:17 NKJV

Answering Each One

Walk in wisdom
continue in prayer

redeeming the time
with thanksgiving

letting your speech
be seasoned with salt

full of grace and mercy
for living.

You are with me as I speak.

“Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving,”

“meanwhile praying also for us, that God would open for us a door for the word , to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in chains, “

“that I might make it manifest, as I ought to speak.”

“Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time.”

“Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.”

Whatever you do
do with all your heart

as though for Me
and not for men

and you will receive
a heavenly reward

for its truly Me
you’re serving.

I am serving You as I serve others for You are with me.

“And whatever you do, do it heartily as to the Lord and not to men,”

“knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.”

Put On Love

Wearing love
and thanksgiving

in My name
do everything

with My peace
ruling in your hearts

My word lives in you
and sings.

You are with me and make my life sing.

“But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.”

“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body and be thankful.”

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

“And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”

In All

You are all
and in all

so we are

with You and Yours

no longer cast off

You are with me and my identity is in You.

“Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds,”

“and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him,”

“where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.”

Set My Mind

We have died
to worldly principles

and seek those things

setting our minds
on Jesus Christ

who’s at the right hand
of God.

I can set my mind on eternal things for You are with me.

“Therefore, if you died with Christ from the basic principles of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourself to regulations – “

“If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.”

“Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.”

“For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.”

Colossians 2:20 , 3:1,2,3 NKJV

Made Alive

We were buried with You
in baptism

raised with You
through faith

once dead in our sins
we’re alive again

together with You

I am alive with You, for You are with me.

“. . .buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead.”

“And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses,”

“having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.”

Complete In Him

Don’t let
anyone cheat you

with empty traditions
philosophies, deceit

for in Me all
the fullness dwells

in Me you are

You are with me and complete me.

“Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tadition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.”

“For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily,”

“and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.”

When I am thankful
truly thankful

oh how I abound
in faith

being rooted
and built up

walking in Him
by grace.

My faith abounds for You are with me.

“As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him”

“rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.”

Holy And Blameless

I who once was

am through Your death

now in Your sight
I’m blameless

one of God’s
a holy child.

You are with me and have reconciled me by Your death.

“For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell,”

“and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.”

“And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled”

“in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and irreproachable in His sight -“
