Edification

 

Let all things be done
for edification

all teaching, tongues
and revelations

so all who come
will be convinced

that God is here
within our midst.

The Greatest

 

Love is
the greatest

all three
rolled into one

believing, enduring
hoping

the perfect gift from
God, Spirit, Son.

Just As He Pleased

 

We are
the body of Christ

and members
individually

given gifts
by the same God

for manifestation
and edifying.

You are with me and have placed me within the body of Christ with specific gifts for the profit of all.

The Other’s Well-Being

 

Let me not seek
just my own good

but think of the well being
of others

knowing what may be
okay for me

won’t always edify my
sisters and brothers.

Through Whom We Live

 

For us there is only
one God

the Father of whom all
things are

and one Lord Jesus
through whom we live

our Light and Morning
Star.

Glorified

 

Let me glorify You
in my body

and in my spirit
for I am Yours

having been washed
and sanctified by You

justified in the name
of my Lord.

As Unleavened Bread

 

Lord let me live my life
as the unleavened bread

of sincerity
and truth

knowing a little leaven
leavens the whole lump

and doesn’t bring glory
to You.

You are with me as Christ the Passover, my sacrifice.
