Someone To Care

“Look on my right hand and see,
For there is no one who
acknowledges me;
Refuge has failed me;
No one cares for my soul.”  Psalm 142:4

David was running for His life and hiding out in caves.

Lord, thank You for sending people who cared about my soul when I was running from life and hiding in caves of addiction.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

He Cares Someone Who Cares @youarewonderful
Someone Who Cares @youarewonderful

We know that You
are with us

and that
You’ll never leave

but also
understand about

our basic
human needs.

  1. Sis, this is perfect! God bless your worshipful Wednesday work–love, sis Caddo

  2. Although I was never in the cave of addiction as many have been, I am still thankful for the mercy and love of Jesus that saved a sinner like me.

  3. The wonderful grace and blessing of caring friends can only be outweighed by the grace of a caring Lord who is with us no matter where we may be in life. Thank you for the encouraging words Deb.
    Lord bless

  4. A great reminder that nothing escapes the care of our loving, generous God, even when we try and run. He is with us in the caves, as well as the sunshine.

  5. Reblogged this on My Delight and My Counsellors.

  6. So glad that the Father cared for my soul, and so put people in my life – my wife Corinne, and other friends as well, who care for my soul, and are willing to risk it to help me. Thank you Jesus
    Beautiful Deb!

  7. Deb, your simple poems never fail to move me. How wonderful to know that He loves me, no matter where I am or what my circumstances are… That He is caring for me gives me such peace. Thank you for your gentle reminder. 🙂

  8. “..but also
    understand about
    our basic
    human needs.”

By adding this at the end, you made me think of El Shaddai or the God Who Is More Than Enough. Kenneth Hagin coined the phrase and it’s one of my favorites.

Drum roll, please. bddddbdddbddd. Okay, your score as calculated by the experts at Funk and Wagnalls is a certified 10. So, run outside with Aub and do a May Dance, complete with pole and ribbons. Also, don’t forget chocolate donuts with butter.

  9. Thank you for reminding us that He cares about the every day things; Blessings!

  10. What a sweet comfort your words are today, Debbie. Often it’s just the “basic human needs” that I crave to believe He sees and cares about. And sure enough He does!

    Blessings ~ Wendy

  11. Love you and thank you for being someone who cares for my soul, Sis! God bless you and love on you today!

  14. So thankful for that, Ali! And thankful for you! God bless you as He cares for you today!

  15. Thank you so much and God bless you!

  16. I’m so glad for all the ways He cares for you too, Mr. Ben, and thanking Him too! God bless you in big and small ways today!

  22. that was his main purpose in coming, in condescending and becoming human, to understand our needs, isn’t He magnificent !

  23. Debbie, you expressed it so perfectly that nothing else needs be said.
