“Who remembered us in our lowly state
For His mercy endures forever.” Psalm 136:23
Being remembered is a blessing.
Lord, thank You for remembering us with mercy when we need it most. And here is a simple poem . . .
You Remember
When I have fallen
and am feeling
oh so
low
You remember me
with mercy
restoring my
soul.
This is wonderful, Sis–He does remember us so faithfully and tenderly, with restoration and renewal, and grace for every hour. May He bless your Tuesday abundantly–love jael-caddo
If left to my own designs without mercy I would be in real deep. And not deep in a relationship to Jesus (yesterday’s post comes to mind). Neck deep in confusion and trouble.
It is just as you say “Being remembered is a blessing.” It is a blessing to be remembered by others that we love…. but it is such a special blessing to know we are remembered by God Himself!
I love that he remembers us with mercy, and chooses not to remember our transgressions. Such a Savior! Good Word dear Deb
Reblogged this on My Delight and My Counsellors.
What a great verse and your poem declares its greatness. Thanks. But then I remembered, you’re almost done with Psalms, just fourteen to go and that made me sad. This journey through Psalms has been so enlightening for me. Maybe David and the other authors should have created a few more for us to continue onward in our trek with you.
Great job. Another 10! Okay, if Aub goes with Gentile, rather than Sally, it might be a good idea to add a little spice to the name. Maybe, Oy Vey Gentile might just do it. So then, you can just hear the track announcer saying, “Smarty Jones is making its move on the outside and coming up fast. Aub has gone to the whip on Oy Vey Gentile. And at the finish line, oy vey, it’s Oy Vey Gentile.”
I know. I know. Oy Vey!
I am breathing this one in, dear Debbie… I think the enemy tries to tell us that God forgets us … But He doesn’t … He sees and He knows … He can be trusted!!! 🙂
To know that one is loved and seen and remembered by G-d is beyond my understanding, but I will accept it as I accept all the other miracles, air, water, laughter..etc
Loved this my friend!
His hand is always outstretched toward us!
The broken place looks like a ministering angel…you find such wonderful pictures to go with uplifting poems. *Thank you* Debbie.
Thank you so much for your gentle understanding of His love and ways with us! Love you and God bless you tenderly today!
Love this, Pastor Bill, and you have me thinking of just how I feel at those times and how hopeless it would be without His mercy. Now you have me praying for those who don’t know to cry out to Him, to be urged to today. Thank you and God bless you!
It is so special to be remembered by Him . ..and really realize it and let it bless us. A real day changer! Thank you, Pastor Rob, and God bless you!
What a great add on, Mr. Ben . . ‘and chooses not to remember our transgressions.’ Thank you for showing us what mercy does and doesn’t do! God bless you bunches as you help us along on our walks with Him!
Thank you dear MDMC! God bless you always!
🙂 Oh Mr. Larry! You make my day with your comments! haha!
Thank you for encouraging me through the Psalms. 150 was a tad bit intimidating starting out. It’s that way with me each time I start a new book of the Bible. Then by the time I end up, I’m sad it’s over and get intimidated by the next book. 🙂
p.s. when you get a chance, you can see Oy Vey Jenteel ( I spelled her name wrong before!) and jockey Aub on facebook, under Mended Hearts! They look like sure winners to me!
Thank you, Heidi, for reminding us that the enemy tries to tell us that God forgets us! I had forgotten that tactic, but yes! So thankful that is a lie and He never ever does! God bless you and your pure heart for Him!
What a beautiful way of looking at it, poet friend!! Thank you and blessings to you too, as He thinks of you lovingly today!
Love that, Debbie . ..that hand of mercy, gently strong! God bless you and keep you covered with His love!
I never thought of that , Brook, but you’re right! It does look like an angel . .an angel of mercy! 🙂 Thank you for your tender heart and God bless you each and every day, more and more and more.
We all make mistakes, and we are all saved by grace. You know, the wall looks like an angel, or perhaps an image of Christ. This only added to my enjoyment of your poem, Debbie. Peace, Amy
Debbie, you’ve said powerfully, with simple eloquence, how gracious He is to us. Amen!
Blessings ~ Wendy
Thank you , dear Amy, for encouraging us today! So, you thought the wall looked like an angel too? 🙂 I didn’t even think about it when I picked it out. God bless you and keep you covered in His mercy!
I love that graciousness of His, Wendy! Thank you for being gracious too! 🙂 God bless you!
>> “You remember me with mercy”
Yes, thankfully, always with mercy and never with condemnation . . . but on the other hand, there must be a truer meaning of the word ‘remember’ because God NEVER “remembers” me!
He cannot ‘remember me’ – because He never FORGETS me!
Oh . ..that is so true and good, mentor Angela! 🙂 Thank you and God bless you as He never forgets you today and forever!
Oh, how this poem instills hope! Thank you so much for sharing it.
Love,
Theresa
Praying He soaks you in hope, dear woman of the Word! love you and God bless you!
I am so thankful God remembers me wherever I am.
Even when you are in Holland! 🙂 Welcome back, Pastor J, and God bless you with mercy always!
