Escape

“Our soul has escaped as a bird from
the snare of the fowlers;
The snare is broken, and we have escaped”  Psalm 124:7

We watched a red tailed hawk soaring into the sky the other day.

Lord, thank You for setting us free from the snare, so we can fly.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

To Fly

The hawk started
down low

then climbed up high
into the sky.

She wondered why
it would do this

I thought, it was
meant to fly.

(Hi dear friends!  I will be away from the computer quite a bit
the next 10 days, and haven’t yet decided how to deal with it.
🙂   So, if I don’t get to your blogs or to my own, you’ll know why!
Wishing you a beautiful Easter!)

  6. “…it was meant to fly…”

The first thought which drifted through my mind was the old Christian spiritual, “I”ll Fly Away.” It’s one of those happy, clappy upbeat songs which tells about flying away to heaven after this weary life is over. Although I like the song, it misses the important point about being citizens in the Kingdom of God. You see, like that hawk, we’re set free to fly now and soar above life here on earth, into the heavenlies where we are seated with Christ.

    A Yipee poem today.

No noogies today for Aub, but I pray you’re both refreshed when you return. God bless you.
