Our Keeper

“He who keeps you will not slumber.”  Psalm 121:3

I have dreams sometimes, where I need to be awake, but am so tired I can’t get up.

Lord, thank You for never sleeping – for always keeping us –  by day and by night.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Your Work

When I feel weary
and powerless to help

when I’ve done all
I know to do

You lift my eyes
and remind me

this is Your work
and You’re not through.

  1. So wonderful to have a vigilant keeper.

  2. It so good to know that the Lord never sleeps. 🙂 Your poem reminded me of this song that I heard at church recently: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_EvhraPeKMM Hope you enjoy it as I did 🙂 God bless…. love, kisses and hugs 😀

  3. Thanks for the encouraging reminder of His constant watch care over us. Lord bless.

  4. Reblogged this on My Delight and My Counsellors.

  5. AMEN! That is beautiful!

  6. AMEN Debbie He is never asleep and He watches over us while we are sleeping and when we are weary He is there to boast us. Have a blessed day

  7. A really good word today Deb! I am so thankful that God who has the final word has not spoken it yet!

  8. You lift my eyes
    and remind me

    this is Your work
    and You’re not through.

Excellent reminder for those of us who tend to become self-centric!
In spite of my own failings, I can always trust in His completeness.

    Thank you, Debbie 🙂

  9. Because of verses like this, I sleep well at night, knowing Jesus covers the late shift for me…and also, the first and second shifts, too. It’s a good deal knowing Jesus and His benefits come in a big Book. Thanks.

Caddo said we should celebrate “something” today. So, tell Aub she’s really “SOMETHING SPECIAL.” Then slap a Tuesday noogie on her head.

  10. I have those dreams, too – where even in my dream, I can’t open my eyes – and I know I must be alert for what is happening, but just can’t manage it. Then I wake up groggy. I love how you highlight that God is so not like us. And if He is far superior in this one area, can I not let go and allow Him to take charge in other areas, too?

  11. thank you Debbie,,,hugs

  12. Awesome – He’s “not through.” I feel so encouraged by this today. Thank you, friend.

  13. Amen, my friend. Happy Easter.

  14. *His* work…what a relieving reminder! God bless you Debbie!

  15. Amen, Dearest Deb!!

“Lord, thank You for never sleeping – for always keeping us – by day and by night.”

    Thank you, Jesus!!

Lately I have not been sleeping much as I stay up to complete papers. It’s good to know that HE never sleeps, even in those moments when I can’t keep my eyes open!

  16. Im grateful he still has the vision of an angel underneath thhis crude marble !

  17. Amen, Mr. Ben! Thank you and God bless you and yours, this week and always!
