For Peace

“I am for peace;
But when I speak, they are for war.”  Psalm 120:7

The Word wars for our souls.

Lord, thank You for giving us peace amidst the battles. And here’s a simple poem . . .

Peace of Christ

Oh Lord
when we’re amongst
those who only
want to fight

may the peace
of who You are
come first and fully
into light.

  1. Amen, what a beautiful prayer… “may the peace of who You are come first and fully into light.” That’s a prayer every man and woman of God should pray. Thank you for sharing your wisdom, Deb.

    God bless you,

  2. Well said Debbie!
I can relate to the struggle of being around those who fight (especially this week, so your post was timely)… thanks for the reminder to seek peace in Him, who is indeed light in the darkness.
Thanks for your dedication to shining your light in our worlds with your beautiful words and God-breathed inspirations 🙂

  3. It is easy to fight, to defend oneself. I am not normally a fighter, but do struggle at times with “this is my right” type of thinking. Thanks for the “cooling down” words.

  4. There are many who are itchin’ for a fight – which is why we must be peaceMakers not just peace keepers.

    Great poem friend

  5. Yes, the world does war against the soul…. our only hope? Christ and the peace that He gives to us. Thanks Deb.
