He Dwells

“He dwells between the cherubim;
Let the earth be moved!”  Psalm 99:1

It seems I am constantly on the move.

Lord, may I be moved by You each day.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Be Moved

I dwell
between the cherubim

in the place
of mercy and truth

loving you
and waiting

to see your
hearts be moved.

  1. This is so beautiful, Sis Deb–and the picture too. I feel a reverent hush, like I shouldn’t jump up and down, but display “decorum”. I love that HE is in the place of mercy and truth, loving me–and I am confident that HE will see my heart be moved. Thank You, Lord. God bless you, Sis, as you go about your Friday with HIM–love, sis Caddo (whispering)

  2. Thanks so much for sharing this poem… just this morning I was reading in Exodus and about the instructions on making the tabernacle. My heart was drawn to that place .. longing for the nearness of Him there … and then He reminded me how He is near to me now! … thank you so much for the reminder … you are gifted with your words and inspire me!

  3. Beautiful poem. Love that Scripture. I am moved.

  4. Reblogged this on My Delight and My Counsellors.

  5. “It seems I am constantly on the move. Lord, may I be moved by You each day.” Amen, if our activities were all Christ centered can you imagine what we could accomplish for Him? How often do we waste our precious time (and life) by being busy with things that really are of little importance in life? Lord bless you, Deb.

  6. Oh, this is so wonderful . . . my heart was truly moved by it and it makes me want to crawl right in there and rest today in His mercy and truth. May God continue to bless you with His beautiful, ministering words.

  7. When I think of the Lord dwelling between the cherubim, it makes me think about the Bema Seat, or the Judgment Seat of Christ, where the Lord will judge each of us believers for the things we’ve done while living here on earth. Thank God we can cry out now to the Judge and change our ways before that day.

Great poem and maybe you should be thinking about a blueberry cobbler for supper.

  8. beautiful words

  9. Love you Sis Caddo, and your reverent hush and love . .your willingness to be moved by His love! God bless you with a vibrant Friday, filled with Him!

  10. Sweet Heidi .. .I had second thoughts about this poem afterward .. because He dwells in us now. So thank you for your encouragement and how you long to be near Him, just like He longs to be near you too! God bless you and yours! Praying your weekend is moved by Him!

  16. That is what I was thinking about too, Mr. Larry .. the mercy Seat. 🙂 Thank you for reminding us to cry out today and move close to Him, as He longs for us to! God bless you and yours. Praying your cold is moving on too.
p.s. you are inspiring me to bake!

  17. God bless you and Al, Terry . ..and the coming move for him!

  18. God bless you, dear Brook, and move your heart in wonderful ways today!

  20. “There is more mercy in Christ than sin in us.”

Richard Sibbes, Works (Edinburgh, 1979), I:47.

By His grace and mercy……He gave me a new heart…..one that will respond to spiritual stimuli.

  21. Great comment, Ike! I love the idea of your heart responding to spiritual stimuli! 🙂 God bless you and thank you for your insights!

” For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.”
