Made Known

“The LORD has made known His
salvation;
His righteousness He has openly
shown in the sight of the nations.”  Psalm 98:2

Jesus had / has a very public ministry.

Lord, thank You for always making Yourself known to us.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Right Here

My salvation
I have made known

My righteousness
is clearly shown

so you can come to Me
for I am here

seek Me
for I am near.

  2. Hallelujah – I am so glad He made Himself known to the nations! Otherwise, only the children of Israel would have been blessed and saved… As dark as things are getting in the world now, just imagine how much darker it would be, if He had never made Himself known to the nations.

The USA would be a land of lawlessness, because our laws were founded on biblical standards. Without Christ, slavery would still exist in the US, as it does in other parts of the world. Without Christ, women’s rights would be non-existent, and child labor laws would be unheard of.

Without Christ, we would be the walking dead, as are all who do not know Him. Without Christ, while we might have knowledge, we would have no wisdom… we would have no faith… we would have no hope… we would have no love.

Praise God! I am so grateful that He made Himself known to the nations, for without Him, I would surely die. Thank you so much for the scripture passage and your simple poem, which gives us much to ponder.

    Love you much,
    Cheryl

  3. What would we do if the Lord never showed His face to us? There are many times it SEEMS AS IF

  4. … the Lord isn’t working in our lives, but thanks to the Lord, He reaffirms He is ALWAYS at work when He actively intervenes in our lives. He is working whether we see Him or not.

Sorry about the two-part comment…. my fingers hit my “enter” button by accident… ugh! Lord bless.

  5. God Bless you and thank you for sharing your words today.. Blessings.. Bro Pat 🙂

  6. He make things known to us who are His children. All we have to do is sit at the feet of Jesus and learn. AMEN

  7. Thank You Lord that You show Your righteousness to all, even thick-headed people like me.

Great poem today. A frozen mouse, yuck!

  8. thank you for that encouragement!

  9. The Word became flesh and lived among us. That says it all to me.

  10. Debbie, this verse is needed and so instructive, because I just finished reading two articles from an atheist’s point of view. I love your statement: “Jesus had / has a very public ministry.”
Thank you, my sister, for your timely verse, word, and poem!

  11. Forgive me for replying when you’re speaking with Debbie, but:
    Go, Cheryl!

  12. Amen!!

    Beautiful, Debbie!

  13. LOL – I love you Maria! You have no way of knowing that I’m in need of encouragement, but Holy Spirit knows, and He sent you to encourage me. Thank you! 🙂

  14. Thanks Deb, near and now!

  15. The love of God is truly amazing. That He would choose to reveal Himself to us… Wow. I am reminded of the verse, “…I have loved you with an everlasting love…” Isaiah 31:3 Thank you for prompting us to think on Him.

  16. So glad, sis!!!
    Love ya!
    :0)

  17. I love the sweet picture, Sis Deb–but I suspect there’s an underlying meaning/message to it. Whether we close our eyes to Him or keep them open, He is indeed HERE–loving us and working in our lives to the extent that we don’t limit Him deliberately. I know there were times in my life when I closed my eyes and ran straight into hell–it may comfort me to excuse this by saying I had a desperately hungry heart, but the result is still the same: hell. I don’t understand why we don’t all run to Jesus–maybe it has to do with needing a Holy Spirit revelation, a Divine Interruption. But I do know that it has changed the way I pray–all cylinders firing fervently. God bless you as you work and serve Him today–in words and deeds; praying you’re oiled and lubed, gassed up and ready to race to the finish, NASCAR NELLY! I’ll be waitin’ with your Dew, tonight–love you so much, your forever sis Caddo Delight

  18. Wonderful. I grieve for those who will not see … just like the picture of the child, so many have covered their spiritual eyes. Lots to pray for. Bless you, Debbie.

  19. Such a beautiful post Deb! The pic made me smile :). I love that we worship the living God, who loves to reveal Himself to us. Hope you are having a wonderful week xx

  20. The only reason “we” can seek Christ in our sinfulness is because Christ has sought us as our Savior. The glory of the gospel is that the God of the universe reaches beyond the hardness of our hearts…overcoming our selfish resistance and sinful rebellion…and he saves us from ourselves. Such mercy magnifies God’s pursuit of us and crucifies our pride before him. Thank you again.

  21. Thank you MDMC! And God bless you muchly!

  45. ‘for I am near’ touches me as deeply as the photo which looks just like how our sons looked when they were little. Blond bombs of mischief that I loved and still do as they have settled down and become darker in color. I am so glad I cuddled them a lot while I could.

    Blessings ~ Wendy

  52. I have some fun stories to tell their children one day… 😉

  53. A very public ministry but then some “tell no one” moments. How do you reconcile those things?

  54. Good question, Tammy! I am going to read up about that a bit, and get back with you! 🙂 God bless you!

  55. Okay, I hope someone will correct me if I get this wrong, but from what I understand, Tammy, the statement He made to tell no one, was said because it was not yet time for Him to be handed over to be crucified. I hope that helps! Thanks for being here!
