The People Who Know

“Blessed are the people who know
the joyful sound!
They walk, O LORD, in the light of
Your countenance.
In Your name they rejoice all day long . . .”  Psalms 89:15-16

People of God hear, walk and speak differently.

Lord, we thank You for the joy and the light of Your countenance and name!  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Blessed Ones

They can hear their Lord singing
over them with delight

and walk in the joy
of His Holy might

all through the day
they can’t help but rejoice

in the beauty of His name
and at the sound of His voice.

  1. Definitely another one that I love, so beautiful, Sis Deb! God bless you with a Fabuloso Fridady–love, sis Caddo

  2. How thankful I am that Christian’s live lives that are different from the lost world around us. The love, joy and peace that they have makes them a pleasure to associate with. My heart goes out to those Christians who, due to unconfessed sin, have lost their joy and peace.

Lord bless you Debbie. Thank you for all the time you invest in sharing Christ with others in this blog and the other aspects of your life.

  3. Great poem and great photo. There’s nothing better than watching a young child playing and enjoying himself. These are the ones Jesus said would be the greatest in the Kingdom.

Have a great day, but you might want to cancel your outing in Boston this weekend. Maybe delay it until opening day for the Red Sox in April, okay?

  4. People of God hear, speak and walk differently. That is it in a nutshell. Not weird different but just different.

  13. Thank you and God bless you, Mr. Larry! I love seeing Him in the children. I heard a story about Aub that I hadn’t known about before. We tried cleaning for the lady’s daughter that we’ve cleaned for , for a long time. It didn’t end up working, but she told us that her daughter remembered when she was so sick and suffering from a combination of things, that Aubrey told her, “He said you would be okay.” She asked Aub who said that, and Aub told her , “that man over there.”. There was no man over there, so she assumed that Aubrey must have seen an angel. 🙂

I am taking your advice and staying put for now!

  38. Christians ARE different!
If we are not? Then WE have failed. We have failed to accept and use all the resources our God has given us.

We should stand out from the crowd as the Light within shines out. We should be joyful IN (not under) any circumstances, and always sing His praises, because we know He is ALWAYS with us and always wants the very best for us.

Thanks for the reminder to keep seeing the beauty of His name
