A New Song

“He has put a new song in my mouth —
Praise to our God;
Many will see it and fear
And will trust in the LORD.”  Psalms 40:3

God as creator is always making something new.

Lord, may we be the birth place for all You want to do.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

His Palette of Notes                                                           images

You are the song
that we sing
redemption’s echoing
fiercely alive and forever new.

You remain the same
yet change everything
and we are the palette
that You use.

  1. I want to be one of the colors He chooses to paint with.

  2. Someday He will make ALL THINGS new, when we enter eternity! What a day that will be! Lord bless you Deb. Have a blessed weekend.

  3. KINDA FUN,……you know, the “priciples” of artwork are very much like the priciples of faith,….each day (each moment actually) we are given a brand new clean sheet of paper to start choosing what our picture (life choices) are going to be,…………if we don’t like what we choose to do our painting with, we can throw that one away and start a new one,….practice makes perfect, and continual forgiveness allows our “painting” to bacome more beautiful, and peaceful each and every day,………….there are basic rules to follow to “produce” a beautiful picture,….in doing so, there are less pages to throw away,………and, god gives us all a big eraser as well,……..life is good,….or should i say,….AS PRETTY AS A PICTURE,……….a picture paints a thousand words,…and iun our reading and learning of the bible (our ART INSTRUCTION MANUAL) a thousand words can paint a picture,……..

  4. Hallelujah! I’m so glad for His love for us and for the new song He’s written on our hearts… I just read a poem on Bro. Wendell Brown’s sight about the Lord’s song of life…

And then, you know I’ve always got a song on my heart thanks to Jesus and all that He’s done for me!

  5. I love this verse Deb! As I read it today I was struck by a question…”How do you see a song?”

  6. ‘May we be the birthplace for all You want to do.’ – love that so much! Beautiful…

  7. that was beautiful Debbie!

  8. “…we are the palette
    that You use…”

What a great word picture. Jesus is the light, which I picture as bright and white. And if you put white light through a prism, you’ll discover that white light is made up of all the possible hues in the color spectrum. Thus, we can each be a different color of Christianity and still be a part of His white light. Praise God.

    Great as usual.

  9. Oh this is SO SO SO beautiful, Sis Deb! I love everything, the flow, the image of color and song melded. What a wonderful message (and lovely pic too)–“redemptive echoing”–wow, I KNOW I want to be that for HIM!! God bless you Big on Finally Friday–go slow, wind down and rest up!! love you lots, sis Caddo Delight (tired just from getting up–ha ha ha!)

  10. Debbie, this is especially lovely! It is wonderful how creative He is and how He has given us creativity. But creating a new heart in us is the most precious art of all.
    Blessings ~ Wendy

  11. He remains the same but changes everything. Debbie, you are so insightful and helpful and sharing all the colors too. *Thank you.*

  12. Deb – this is grand! I love the Psalm but wouldn’t have made the beautiful connection that you’ve painted here between God’s steadfastness and His creativity in us. Thank you, sweet friend. This is lovely in every way.

  13. I’m sure you are! You’ve colored my world with your books and devotions! 🙂 God bless you, Mr. Mike!

  14. I love that . ..all things new! Not just patched up and painted over! God bless you, Pastor Rob, as He creates through you!

  15. What an amazing comment! Thank you so much for sharing about painting and life and God and His word! God bless you as you take your clean sheet of paper for each day and fill it for Him!

  16. Thank you for coming and bring all the beauty and joy on your heart! 🙂 Loved Wendell’s poem and the song! God bless you as He gives you a new song today! love and prayers!

  17. Oh, that is a good question, Pastor J! haha! Guess I always thought about them seeing the evidence of us singing that new song , in our lives. 🙂 God bless you as He keeps creating through you and your creative group!

  21. I loved the picture you created for us too, Mr. Larry, of His white light through a prism and us being all those hues! God bless you as you sing and write something new today!

  22. You are all kinds of redemptive echoing for Him, Sis Caddo! It pours out of your poems . ..songs in their own way! God bless you as you keep your clipboard close, ready to birth a poem for Him! love you lots too!

  23. Heart art! I love that, Wendy, how His creating new hearts in us is the most wonderful creating of all! I love what He’s done with me!

  28. Thank you so much for your prayers and support and encouragement! He certainly does a beautiful work through you! God bless you and yours with a blessed Christmas too!

  29. He made me new and now He desires to use me to help others come to newness of life.

What a privilege – to be used by the almighty, omnipotent, creator God!

May we always be willing and ready to be used by Him in His service!

  30. I love being made new, to help others come to newness of life too! Praying with you to be willing and ready to be used by Him in His service! God bless you, dear Mentor Angela! love and prayers!
