The Secret Place

“You shall hide them in the secret place of Your presence
From the plots of man;
You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion

From the strife of tongues.”  Psalms 31:20

We each have this secret place available to us.

Lord, thank You for the safety you provide for us in Your presence.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

A Pavilion of Peace

source –

We are hidden
in Your presence
from the plans
of men

where only
You matter
and not the harmful
words of them.

  1. There are times when i seek that secret place. Other times not so seeking. but i also know I HAVE to have it. Thanks Deb for the reminder.

  2. What a blessing to know that, as His children< we are safely hidden in HIs hands. Lord bless.

  3. Amen, my friend. Thank God for God.

  4. These are wonderful words of healing hope! Nothing heals the sting of unkind words than to be in the presence of the Living Word! I just prayed last night with one of my kids who is under attack by someone at (of all places) youth group…
    Blessings ~ Wendy

  5. “…You shall hide them in the secret place…”

In “God’s Smuggler,” Brother Andrew writes about the time he crossed the border into a communist nation and had Bibles on the floor of his car. The guards checked his whole car for illegal contraband, like Bibles, and they never saw the Bibles. Why? God hid them in the secret place of His presence, away from the plans of men.

    GREAT poem.

  31. The ‘secret place’ that the frenzied world yearns for but isn’t willing to accept . . . oh that we could reach them with the Good News and they would come to know the Prince of Peace and the safety and refuge found only in Him!

    What an amazing God!

  32. You said is so well, Mentor Angela. That was what I was thinking too, is that the secret place really isn’t a secret. It’s for everyone, if they will come to Him. God bless you as you dwell within His presence each day!
