King Of Glory

“Lift up your heads, O you gates!
And lift them up, you everlasting doors!
And the King of Glory shall come in.
Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
He is the King of Glory.”  Psalm 24:9-10

The Golden Gate in Jerusalem is sealed until Messiah comes . .. again.

Thank You, Lord, for revealing Yourself to us that we might know who is this King of Glory.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

None But You

source –

Kings have come
and gone

for better or worse
they’ve ruled

over countries and nations
but none have been

the King of Glory
but You.

  1. So very true your words dear Debbie.

    Blessed weekend ahead! 🙂

  2. That was beautiful… It brought to mind a song that never ceases to move me…

Thank you so much for always sharing the beauty the Lord pours into your spirit!

In The Love of Christ, the King of Glory,

  3. What a wondrful blessing to know that He is coming back and will reign in the New Jerusalem forever! Lord bless Deb. Thanks for a great thought to enter this weekend

  4. “…Who is this King of glory?…”

This question vibrates within me on a daily basis. The little I know seems so insufficient to satisfy my longing to know more. So, who is this King of Glory?

  5. Oh so true Deb! I’m thinking it may not be long before the Golden Gate is unsealed!

  6. Amen to your poem! One morning after reading about how awesome God is in our homeschool Bible study, we went on to read some history. It was about the old viking gods. Wow, what a contrast! The kids and I broke out in spontaneous laughter… I would not laugh at someone else’s beliefs, normally, but I think it’s pretty safe on this one… I am teaching them to respect all religions and persons – but the history we were reading was just way over the top! God is awesome!
    Blessings ~ Wendy

  7. Ahhh, yes, Sis Deb!! HE is our King of Glory–and whether we know Him or not, can see (visually) Him or not, HE reigns sovereign over all. And that’s the way it is!! Our God Reigns–Hallelujah! God bless you with a Fab Friday and happy weekend–love, sis Caddo Delight

  8. We’ve lost the pomp and splendour in modern times of what a King is really like – I think we would be wise to bring some of the respect back. Thank you for planting that idea in our hearts today.

  9. God bless you, beautiful one, as you write your way into the weekend! love and prayers!

  10. Oh Cheryl! I love that song and had forgotten about it!! Thank you sooo much! You are such a blessing! God bless you and yours as you worship Him today and always!

  11. God bless you, Pastor Rob, as He reveals Himself to you now and when He returns! Have a good weekend!

  12. Keep asking Mr. Larry! I believe He will keep answering you and showing you! God bless you and your longing to know Him more.

  13. It might now, Pastor J! God bless you as you lift up your head and eyes and heart to your King!

  14. I had forgotten about the old viking gods and history, Wendy! I’m so glad that it was an opportunity for Him to reveal Himself all the more, by contrast! God bless you as you keep looking for Him and His glory each day!

  15. I love your, “and that’s the way it is!” No buts about it! 🙂 God bless you, Sis Caddo Delight, who celebrates her King of Glory everyday! love and prayers! So thankful for you!

  16. Thanks for being here, Melody, and reminding us about respect and honoring! God bless you and your heart for Him!

  17. So beautiful and hope-filled Deb. Praying for Israel to see some of His glory and strength in all they currently face. Love and blessings xx

  18. Beautiful, my sweet friend.
I prayed Thursday prayers – but no internet until tonight.
I’m trying to race around the world before it evaporates again!
I’m thinking of your dear friend in Israel right now.
As I pray for you and Aub tonight, I’m praying for her as well – that the King of Glory, the Lord of hosts will comfort and guide and protect.

  19. I’m singing “There is none like YOU!”
Words cannot express His majesty, His glory, His uniqueness, His love, His mercy, His grace.
What an amazing spectacle awaits us as we behold His glory! . . .

. . . and that day is one day closer!

  20. Kind of His timing on this one, as I didn’t plan it according to what is happening. God bless you, dear Aimee, as you pray and see His glory too! love and prayers!

  21. I am thinking of you racing around the world before the internet connection evaporates! Go gracious one, go! 🙂 And I am so blessed by your prayers and by you stopping off here too. And how you thought of J in Jerusalem! She sent an email today that the air raid siren went off and everyone was hurrying to the bomb shelter, trying to remember if they were to take their gas masks or not.
God bless you as you pray and know your King of Glory, that He is ever with you! love and prayers! Our Thursday was covered in grace!

  22. God bless you, Mentor Angela, as you sing and praise Him, lifting His name, ready to behold His glory!

  23. I’m so glad, that the King of Kings rules and reigns on the throne of my heart! Love and prayers!

  24. He is very evidently ruling and reigning in you, dear Paulette!! 🙂 God bless you, our praise and worship leader, as you give Him all the glory each day! love you and am thinking of you!
