We Will Remember

“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses;
But we will remember the name of the LORD our God.”  Psalm 20:7

Some trust in the current administration and some trust in a new administration.

Lord, help us remember the name of the One we can truly trust.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

At times
it’s hard not to
hang onto people
places, things

but He helps us
to remember
His name is Lord
and King of Kings.

  1. Amen – Beautiful and true. I will trust in Him and Him only. Many blessings – thank you so much for sharing your gift for others and for being such an awesome encourager, exhorter & a blessing to all who see the fruits of your labor.

    In Christ’s Love,

  2. Oh YES, I LOVE this one, Sis Deb! Perfect, and settles it for me! God bless you abundantly–much love, sis Caddo Delight (and Sis, I just realized I thought it was Tues, in my email–arrgghh)

  3. I think we had similar messages! 🙂 God bless you, sweet Cheryl, as you keep doing what He asks you to do .. .like trust Him. love and prayers!

  4. I wondered for a bit and thought it was quite possible that I had lost a day. .. like maybe we were transported to Mars with Debbie B. 🙂 God bless you , Sis Caddo Delight, as you trust Him now and always!

  5. this is one of my favorite verses in Psalms. it speaks volumes no matter how it is applied. I totally agree with you and who we trust. The poem is right on also deb. have a great day!

  6. There is so much wisdom here. Thank you so much for sharing it.

  7. “…At times
    it’s hard not to
    hang onto people
    places, things…”

We still live in this world, and yes, we do have to put some trust in people, places, and things. Well written.

  8. Our Lord is the ONLY ONE that we can fully trust. He will always do what is right and just. There is none like Him… Lord bless you. Thank you for the great posting.

  9. We sing this song in church some trust in horse and chariots but we will trust in the Lord. God is great and greatly to be praised

  10. Timeless and true…

  11. absolutely!!!!

  12. Debbie, I completely agree with you on this. Whatever country we live in or whoever leads it is secondary, as God is still on the throne. He is able to speak or work through anyone… including Balaam’s donkey.
    Blessings ~ Wendy

  13. Psalm 20 is our current memory project. It is such a beautiful reminder of the spiritual protection and care we are able to access in Christ–even when we may be physically in serious danger–and even when we are tempted to look to some sort of temporal safety net.

Your poem is a lovely reflection of this truth.

  14. Yes, He helps us remember. We are never left to wander alone. Awesome…

  15. So glad He is in charge! Thanks Deb!

  16. indeed, whoever the president is, we hang onto Jesus.

  17. You’re so right, Pastor Bill, that there is a way to apply it daily, really! God bless you as you keep leaning into Jesus!

  18. God bless you, wonderful woman of the Word! Praying for you and yours tonight! love you!

  19. I can’t live completely trustless in everything and everyone! God bless you, Mr. Larry, as you trust and then you TRUST. 🙂

  20. I’m so thankful that He is always trustworthy and able to be counted on to do what is right and just! God bless you, Pastor Rob , as you take through November giving thanks to Him!

  21. Oh I like that song too, dear Desiray! God bless you as you praise Him today!

  22. God bless you as He proves Himself timeless and true to you!

  23. God bless you, Terry, as you look to Him each day and trust Him to see you through. You are doing so good!

  24. Thank you so much for adding that part in there about Balaam’s donkey! What a great reminder and encouragement to us! God bless you and yours, Wendy, as you just keep trusting Him!

  25. God bless you, dear Heather, as you put Psalm 20 to memory and remember where your safety net is . ..in Jesus! Praying that you and yours are doing well!

  26. God bless you, Patricia as you walk with Him today, trusting as you go, in the name above all names!

  27. God bless you, Ben, as you keep us lined up with Jesus!

  28. Hanging onto Him for sure, Z! God bless you!

  29. We gain help and encouragement from people, and we are thankful for them, but we don’t ‘hang on’ to them. Our TRUST is in the Lord ALONE because He ALONE is worthy.

He is an amazing God who will supply all our needs.

  30. Thankful with you, mentor Angela, as we hang all our hope on Jesus! God bless you as He supplies your needs today! love and prayers for His constant watch and care over you.

  31. Trust you to find a seed of encouragement anywhere and everywhere… 🙂

  32. Remembering the name of the Lord with you, thanks!

  33. Thank you Tom, for your special ministry, of helping us say YES to Him. God bless you as you remember His Name today!
