The Lord Knows The Way

“For the LORD knows the way of the righteous . . .”  Psalms 1:6

Jesus is the way.

Lord, we praise You for making a way for our ways to become like Yours. And here’s a simple poem . . .

Our Path

Jesus knows
the way we go now

His cross has made
a path for our feet

His eyes won’t leave
us for a second

His will in us
will be complete.

  1. First in church! Very nice simple poem for us, Sis Deb–God bless you with a Super Saturday! love, sis Caddo

  2. Thank you so much for this comforting post.

  3. I’m so grateful for the path His cross has made for my feet! What a wonderful Savior Jesus is! Thank you so much, Encouraging Debbie! Love and prayers!

  4. Thank you for showing up so faithful, first pew Sis! 🙂 God bless your super Saturday, with His amazing grace and love! love you!

  5. God bless you and give you rest and peace today, Theresa! love you lots!

  6. So thankful for the way He’s made for us too! Only Jesus could do that! love and prayers for you a blessed Saturday, Paulette . . thank you for your love and prayers too!

  7. “His eyes won’t leave us for a second” is so comforting. It reminds me of being at the beach with the kids when they were little… so glad He keeps His eyes on us so we don’t drown in our trials.

    Blessings ~ Wendy

  8. “For the LORD knows the way of the righteous . . .” Psalms 1:6

We’re fortunate that we have a complete Bible and know how true righteousness is attained – through Christ. This Psalm was written when God revealed Himself through the Law. Righteousness – or right standing with God – was not as easy because you had to jump through lots of hoops to stay righteous. And even then your sins were only atoned one year at a time.

Praise God, Jesus is “Our Way.”

    Great video.

  9. I came back to listen to the song, Sis Deb–Soooo Beautiful, and the part about He will prosper what we do, that really really ministered to me today. Thank you so much for your incredible love, and true faithfulness to His way. Love you too–BIG!

  10. I’ve tagged you in a “blogathon.” Don’t feel obligated to follow “the rules,” if you don’t want to. Just paying tribute to my enjoyment of your blog.

  11. Love the idea of the cross being our pathway. What a lovely thought…

  12. Thank you so much, Jeff! God bless you! I am notoriously bad on not doing blog things, like awards and prompts and links and . .well, you understand. haha! But I so love it that others do! Be over to see you soon!

  13. I’m blessed that that stood out to you. It did me too, when it came out. God bless you and your path with Him!

  14. Thanks Debbie!

  15. I like knowing the Lord has His eyes and hand on me directing my every step! Great Post!
    God Bless You, Deb!

  16. Mr. Larry, I really appreciate when you share about what was going on then, how things were . ..and it makes it all the scripture even more amazing! Thank you and God bless you as you follow Him today!

  17. Wendy, I loved that analogy of the kids at the beach and us watching them. So beautiful!! Thank you and God bless you as He keeps you in view at all times!

  18. I like that too, Lady Dei! love and prayers for you and yours a good Sunday! God bless you too!

  19. Thankyou for adding Psalm 1~ written in my heart!
Lord, we praise You for making a way for our ways to become like Yours…my prayer too Deb!

  20. It is one that sticks with me too . .and I’m bad at memorizing. I think the song helps. 🙂 God bless you as you pray and walk in His Ways! love you faith filled fisherlady!

  21. I love the fact of knowing that my Lord is the way…Thank you for such a lovely poem Debbie…His eyes are always on us….amen

  22. Loving that fact with you, dear Desiray! He did not hide Himself from us, but made Himself known. God bless you as He watches over your every step today!

  23. What a blessing it is when we can truly say our ways are like our Lord’s. This is one of the ultimate goals for the Christian life. Lord bless you, Debbie. Thanks for the beautiful poem as well.

  24. Praying for that, Pastor Rob! God bless you and your desire for His ways!

  25. Debbie, what a comfort and encouragement it is that we can *KNOW* that no matter what happens in life, HE will not leave us, not even for a split second, and that He is working His perfect will in us.

Thank you for this word of reminder.

We serve an amazing God who delights to bless us with His abundance.

  26. Thank you for reaffirming to us, how great is our God, who will not leave us! God bless you as He cares for you each step of the way!
