“Behold, God is exalted by His power;
Who teaches like Him?” Job 36:22
No matter what kind of a learner we are, God hand tailors lessons for each of us.
Lord, thank You for teaching me. Please help me remain teachable for all my life. And here’s a simple poem . . .
My Daughter, My Teacher
We can become so set
on creating goals
and should do’s
that we lose sight
of what God teaches
through you.
Simple poem. Powerful lesson. Thanks Deb
“My Daughter, My Teacher”
Wise insight. If I could write a poem like this, I would entitle it: “My Wife, My Teacher.” Then, we could compare the lessons we’ve learned. Mine would center on patience and dying daily to self.
This is just beautiful.
Great simple poem, Sis Deb–you know how much I praise God for His hand-tailored teaching methods!! Praying His blessings overflow on you and Aubie angel today–love, sis Caddo
“Hand tailors lessons”
This one means so much to me. I remember homeschooling my kids. It was so important to me that they understood their lessons. Whenever the textbook couldn’t get it across I would create my own lesson that would explain it better. Then there might be lessons that just weren’t necessary, and we would skip them. I learned a lot from my kids, too.I am still learning.
Why is it that I forget that the Lord loves me even more than I love my family? I am not perfect, but He loves me and knows me so well that He hand picks the lessons for me so that He will be able to present me faultless!
“24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.” Jude 1:24-25
Thank you so much for this comforting post.
Love
Theresa
Mr. Larry, I think we have very similar lesson plans!!! 🙂 God bless you as you stay ready to learn , more and more!
Thanks poet friend . ..and one who learns from his children too! 🙂 God bless you!
I am loving hearing you share about all He is teaching you through all sorts of avenues! God bless you as you study up today! love and prayers!
Theresa . ..you are and were such a good teacher. I love how you transferred what you would do for your kids, to how much more would He do that for us too, because He loves us and wants us to learn. God bless you, wonderful woman of the Word, as He loves you and teaches you today!
Deb this is great! It can feel in life like the lessons look like that black board – complicated :). I’ve learnt though that even though the circumstances might be complicated, the truth is generally quite simple! Praying like you to be teachable and flexible (especially when it comes to my kids!) Love and blessings Aimee x
God bless you, Bill, and thank you for sharing some of His lessons with us!
Everything about this post is wonderful, Debbie.
It can be all too easy to think of myself as a “teacher” instead of another “learner” who happens to have a few more things entrusted to my care.
Childlike humility and dependence upon Jesus is not a natural or easy thing, and His words praising these qualities are frequently brought to mind when I consider what my own attitude ought to be.
“Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. “
I am laughing at the black board! haha! All the other pictures were blank and I didn’t really want that either. haha! Oh I love that “the circumstances might be complicated, but the truth is quite simple.” YES! 🙂 Thank you, Aimee for your insight and good teacher skills! God bless you as you stay flexible and ready to learn! love and prayers!
God bless you, Heather, as you stay teacher and student . ..that wonderful balance that He can create in you! love and prayers as you seek Him for all the answers!
I was thinking about that today…it is not up to me to find the best teacher or circumstances for my kids but it is already in God’s heart to teach them Himself and bring the circumstances they need to learn of Him.
~ Be still and know that He is God. I will trust Him.
Good thoughts Deb… love you dear friend!

I too am impressed with God’s lessons — pure wonderment!
Great post & God Bless you, Deb!
Love you and your heart of faith, fisherlady!!! I stopped still as I read your comment . ..and you take it not only for us, but then of course, for our children too. This last weekend He told me that He was my daughter with special need’s teacher. Then you share this! Thank you!! God bless you as you know Him more and more!
Thank you so much , Ben! God bless you and all the lessons still coming up!
Oh and you have those precious grandkids for Him to teach you through too! Along with so much else! God bless you, dear teachable Lady Dei!
How touchingly dear. We all learn in our own ways and time, and you’re so right – God is the best teacher ever! 🙂
I love that simple poem and how it refocuses us.
I bet you are a good teacher too, Melody! 🙂 I love how He teaches you through your garden . .. and then you pass it on to us! God bless you as you teach and learn!
As a mom, I know you get this! 🙂 God bless you, Tammy!
Thanks Debbie!
When I stop and think that the Almighty Creator of heaven and earth takes such a personal interest in me that He tailors the spiritual lessons for me… it truly boggles the mind! Thanks for an encouraging reminder. Lord bless.
That is pretty mind boggling and that’s our God! 🙂 God bless you as He cares about all that has to do with you and plans your lessons today!
