“If He should set His heart on it,
If He should gather to Himself His Spirit and His breath,
All flesh would perish together,
And man would return to dust.” Job 34:14-15
We “are” only because He “is”.
Thank You, Lord, for sending out Your Spirit and Your breath – Your Son – so we would not perish, but have life. And here’s a simple poem . . .
He Set His Heart On It
You breathe life
into us
and by Your Spirit
we move
everything we see
around us
is here
because of You.
Nice post Deb and your blog looks awsome!
Hi Deb, what a wonderful poem to begin my day with. Your blog is such a treasure that I am glad I have found, very inspirational for a your poem such as myself. Thank you for allowing God to speak through you. Thanks for posting and praise God for sending his son and the gift of the holy spirit.
If you get a chance I would love for your feedback on any of my work.
Thanks in advance
Char-
Lovely as always Deb.
You are so right Deb we are only here because of Him…We can’t even take our next breath if He doesn’t give us breath. We serve an awesome GOD!
So true! Perfect simple poem, Sis Deb–God bless you abundantly–love, sis Caddo
We “are” only because He “is”
This is a wonderful way to express it!
“If He should set His heart on it,
If He should gather to Himself His Spirit and His breath,
All flesh would perish together,
And man would return to dust.” Job 34:14-15
Chapters 32 through 37 contain the words of Elihu, the fourth person who visited Job. But the difference in these chapters is that Job can not defend himself against the words of Elihu and Job’s sins are revealed.to himself.
Oh, Lord, send us messengers like Elihu today who speak Your words with fire and let one of them be Your servant Debbie.
God bless you, Patrick, as He moves on your heart today! So good to see you here!
I love your spirit infused work, Char! Thank you for introducing yourself so we can find you and be blessed! God bless you and breathe His Life and light into all you do!
Thanks, Tammy, for encouraging me and for the help you give us and all the local farmers! God bless you!
Oh yes we do serve an awesome God, and it is our joy and pleasure to do so! God bless you, dear Desiray, and praying you and yours are having a good weekend!
Love you too, Sis Caddo Delight . .and love how He breathes such beautiful life and joy into you! God bless you and all you do in Him!
Thanks for being here, Heather, and God bless you and yours as you move with His Spirit today!
Lord, thank you for breathing into me the Breath of Life, and nourishing me with the Bread of Life! We serve a great, big, wonderful God! There’s nobody like Him! Love and prayers!
Paulette
It has been quite awhile since I had read Job, so when you said earlier that Elihu shows up and things change . .I was waiting for him. 🙂 Thank you for your prayer for me to be a messenger like Elihu and God bless you and yours Mr. Larry!
Oh Paulette . .. His Spirit is so evident in you and in all you do! Thank you for coming by today. Praying that you are having a good one, full of Him! Love you and God bless you!

A beautiful word Deb! That He upholds all things by the power of His word is such and encouraging and sobering thought.
It is beyond me, Pastor J! I like how you describe it as being both encouraging and sobering! God bless you and yours and all those you touch for Him today!
Dearest Deb – Just when I was feeling a bit winded, you remind me that His breath is my life! 😀
Thank you, my friend!
Thank YOU, gracious one, for showing us how it’s done, allowing Him to come in and breathe new life into our sagging sails. 🙂 God bless you and fill you up! love and prayers for a peaceful night!
