Righteous Before God

“Then Bildad the Shuhite answered and said, . . .
How then can man be righteous before God?”  Job 25:1,4

Job was blameless and upright before God . . .but I was not.

Thank You, Lord, for covering me in Your righteousness.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Plain To See

source – kngdm-art.com

It was plain to see
I was not righteous

not so hard to say
I need You, Lord

and still today
I come before You

held up by
all You gave.

  1. The last six words are so powerful, Sis Deb–and I love the image, perfect and very beautiful. God bless your Tuesday–love, sis Caddo

  2. Beautiful words Deb – but more importantly, a beautiful truth.

Sometimes I just shake my head at just how incredulous it is that God would take the action He did to make it possible for me to be reconciled to Him. Why, oh why, would He take my sin and give me His righteousness? What an amazing exchange.

Incredible, yes! But true? The REALITY cannot be denied. We are truly “held up by all He gave”

    What an amazing God!

  3. Job surely was a righteous man and so many others in the Bible, I know I am not even close to where those people was but my prayer is to be one day. That I at times wonder what God says about me when the enemy comes asking permission from God could he do this or that to me, I think we all would want to know what Jesus would say concerning us..AMEN

  4. “It was plain to see
    I was not righteous…”

Before my salvation and as an agnostic, I knew that if John 3:16 was true, I would end up in hell. It’s sobering to think that if a person understands that much of the truth, he wouldn’t take the next step toward salvation. Thank God He found me.

  5. The truth is so simple and so profound – how amazing is this grace!

  6. I really appreciated your thought and your poem today Debbie. How true it is that we all can easily see we need His righteousness to cover our many sins. Lord bless you.

  7. thank u so much for today’s blog

  8. Praise God! Lovely poem and oh so true!
    God Bless You!

  9. Thank you for the blessings, love and prayers! God bless you on your birthday and may it be filled with His love! 🙂

  10. I love to hear you share about our amazing God, mentor Angela. Something so special about your testimony and witness. That He laid down His life for each and every one of us, knew us and how much we would need Him . . .makes me cry tears of gratefulness!
God bless you as you live the reality of His righteousness!

  11. I love how He covers you, dear Desiray, and how quick you are to give Him the glory! God bless you and yours!

  12. I am so so thankful that God found you and you responded, that He knew all along the plans He had for you, Mr. Larry! God bless you and the way you come before Him today, seeking and praying and praising.

  13. Grace is deep! God bless you , Melody, as you stay close to Him today!

  14. God bless you too, Pastor Rob, and how easily you give Him all the praise!

  15. Love you, Terry and praying for you as you care for Al today. God bless you and cover you with His comfort and love.

  16. Thank you for encouraging me and being here, Lady Dei! God bless you and yours too, as you live for Him!

  17. “not so hard to say
    I need You, Lord”

That is on thing I find myself saying several times a day. Thank you so much for showing us that it pleases the Lord to hear us say that.

“But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God.” Psalm 40:17

  18. Yes indeed the only thing that “holds me up” is His grace!

  19. What a beautiful comment and song, wonderful woman of the Word! I can’t think of a time when I don’t need Him! God bless you as you lean on Him today! love and prayers!

  20. Me too! God bless you, Pastor J, as He covers you so perfectly!

  21. Deb, as you can see I am catching up and deeply moved by your poems! “not so hard to say” and thankful what He gave!

  22. Thank you for your faith and trust in Jesus, Tom, and how that helps us too! God bless you!
