“Then Mordecai told them to answer Esther, “Do not think in your heart that you will escape in the king’s palace any more than all the other Jews.”” Esther 4:13
We can come to feel that we won’t have to face what others are going through.
Lord, we desire to be trained and prepared by You, for all that lies ahead of us. And here’s a simple poem . . .
For Such A Day
Do not think
what is happening elsewhere
cannot happen to you
for you are Mine
and because of that
you will suffer too
though trials, persecution
and hardships come
your way
I have planned
and placed you here
for just such a day.
Hi Debbie,
Thanks for stopping by. I can’t agree with you more on this one. We all like to distance ourselves from another’s pain until it happens to us. May the Lord help us to understand that suffering is part of our inheritance package.
Love and blessings,
Gladwell
This post confirmed something that I have had on my mind. Thank you so much for sharing it.
This is a hard one to accept but there is real grace in being ready for these things.
i think this every single day about my own life caring for my brother
May we all take this wise counsel and seek the Lord’s will and intervention in our lives as we prepare for whatever the future may hold. Thanks Deb.
Great post Debbie I don’t know why when we are going through things we think we are the only ones going through at the time. But God allows things to come our way for many reasons and it’s not our task to try to figure them out. What we must do is trust God no matter what.
I tell people all the time what we are facing is never for us it’s for the next person we will meet down the road, other wise how can you give a testimony if you don’t have a test? AMEN
Deb, This is exactly what I needed to hear today. Thank you. Peace, Linda
God who causes the rain to fall on the good and the evil and the sun to shine likewise will carry me through whatever He has chosen for my life… it is all from His good hand and always for my good! Praise Him!
Thanks for again, an excellent post!
Thanks, Debbie! I really needed this reminder. It is one thing to know it, and quite another to remeber it during the trials. Be blessed. 🙂
“Wooooweeee”!! Love It!!! Hi Debbie my pal and friend, this post is sooooo good it makes me “Happy” 😀
Love you so much 😀
Oh Debbie! This is GOOD.
Your post reflects a reality I’ve struggled with for several years, now.
After being awakened from the “Christians can expect to be prosperous in this life” American dream, the desire to somehow support persecuted Christians surfaced. Along with that is the the awareness that I must never consider myself to be too special to suffer for the cause of Christ–that He even says it is a blessing to be hated enough by the world that it wants to try to torment a believer!
It is my prayer that when my turn comes, I will have been accepting of the necessary training and discipline the Lord gives by way of preparation.
So good to see you, Gladwell! And thank you for how you put that, that suffering is part of our inheritance package. I was concerned that I came off not so gentle. God bless you and yours as He has you where He wants you for just such a time as this. love and prayers!
Love you and God bless you, wonderful woman of the Word. May He continue to confirm and comfort you in the days ahead!
I was concerned about the hardness of this . . .so thank you, Tammy, for seeing the grace in it all too! God bless you and yours!
Angel Terry, that is it . . .you understand. It’s not easy at all, but He has you there and you know it is Him and He is helping you. love and prayers!
God bless you, Pastor Rob, as you help us prepare and be trained in His Word!
Oh Desiray, I love this. . .”how can you give a testimony if you don’t have a test?” 🙂 God bless you as He has certainly placed you here and in your city, for just this time!
God bless you, Linda, as He gives you a peace about what happens today, knowing that He knows and has you prepared for it. love and prayers!!
I have been thinking of you, faith filled fisher lady! God bless you as you show us complete trust in Jesus, come what may!
You are so right, Ted! Praying that we not be taken by surprise, but readied by Him. God bless you and yours!
I so so love you too, and your comment blessed me hugely, precious Pat! 😀 God bless you as He knows the plans that He has for you and what you go through today . ..it is not in vain!
I believe that you are being prepared and trained right now, dear Heather and He sees and knows your willing heart for Him. God bless you and yours as He keeps and covers you in His perfect love!
how did i get so lucky to have such nice friends……….
Oh Sis, I confess I was just gonna sneak past this one (“too hard”)–sometimes it helps to come late to church, and hear what the Body is saying in response to your word from God. Then I can get re-routed from whatever “dead end” road my mind had taken. In this case I absolutely agree, and rejoice in, the truth that we can’t have a testimony without the tests. I have a story to share (somewhere)–but I’ll have to ask the Lord if it’s appropriate and have Him write it for me! God bless your busy day, and love on you and our Aubie–love, sis Caddo
Oh our Sis of His Delight . . .it is okay if you sneak past! 🙂 I would soooo understand. I kind of want to sneak past some of these myself! haha! And when you are IN the trial, the suffering, the hardship, the persecution . .. when you are living it each day . ..well, it’s another matter than just talking about it. God bless you and the story that He has for you to share and will certain help you write, just as He is with you each moment of your day! love you and am so thankful for you!
You’re the Best Sis–what would we all do without you serving up love and grace, everyday like clockwork!!
