“Now it happened, when they spoke to him daily and he would not listen to them, that they told it to Haman, to see whether Mordecai’s words would stand; for Mordecai had told them that he was a Jew.” Esther 3:4
God’s Word will stand forever.
Lord, we desire to live upon the sureness of Your Word. And here’s a simple poem . . .
Staying Power
Promises I’ve kept
and broken
the words I
write and say
will not
last forever
but Yours, Oh Lord
will stay.
Oh wonderful, wonderful word for us, Sis Deb–God and His Word aren’t goin’ anywhere! Except inside us, to share!! Can’t believe I’m first in church! God bless you, sweetie, as you rest tonight–and have a blessed Tuesday! love, your sis Caddo
Great reminder Deb. God’s Word is truly eternal just as the Son (the Word) revealed God to those on earth during His ministry; so too the Bible now continues to reveal our Lord to us. Most important document there is on earth. Lord bless.
We break our promises but God never breaks His…
beautiful poem, and i am so thankful for his promise
Thank you, Dearest Deb
“Lord, we desire to live upon the sureness of Your Word.”
Amen.
I will remember this today and tomorrow….
My words pass like dust in the wind, but His remains forever. My life is worth living because He speaks life into my dead situations. I can trust that what He says is indeed so!
Blessings
ann
Amen…
Oh yes you are first! woohoo! 😀 I love that God and His Word aren’t goin’ anywhere! God bless you too, dear Sis Caddo Delight, as you stand firm with your Jesus and His Word! lots of love and prayers!
Thank you and God bless you, Pastor Rob, for not only standing on His Word, but taking a stand for it as well!
I love the sureness and confidence He brings us with His everlasting Word! God bless you, dear Desiray, as He keeps all His promises to you, forever and ever.
Me too, Angel Terry, and I am thankful for you too! God bless you as help you stand each day, by His strength, love and word.
I love what you wrote, Ann full of grace and song . . how He speaks life into our dead situations. His Word can do that and how we need Him and His trustworthiness in this time when everything can change and shift and sink so quickly. God bless you and remind you again and again, of His love and faithfulness towards you.
God bless you, sweet beautiful one, with her pen on fire! 🙂
If I could blush I would be a as red as a tomato right now Deb! 😀
Thank you so much! 🙂
Thankful God gave us a manual to live by! Love the poem!
God Bless you & yours!
Staying power – maybe it’s easy to forget His (for a moment) because we’ve so often, as you’ve said, given ours away. Beautiful reminder of the Words the truly last. Thank you my sweet friend.
I’ll ‘see you’ in a month – but I’ll carry you and Aub in my heart and in my prayers.
I need lots of instructions!!! God bless you, Lady D, and your sweet family!
I’m so happy for your time away and praying that it is blessed in every lovely way possible! I will miss you, but keep thinking of you and praying too! God bless you as He stays with you, always! love you!
Yes, Deb, God’s Word endures forever, and what’s more, it remains current throughout all history, because God never changes. And there’s more! God’s Word is totally true, totally reliable, totally applicable. It has the answer for EVERY problem we face. It is the Sword of the Spirit and will answer every critic. What more could we want? Well, we have more, because the Living Word is present with the written Word; and Holy Spirit is present to reveal its truths to us and give understanding, and to bring our attention to the portions that we need for a specific time. And there’s more . . . God is limitless. His Word is limitless.
What an AMAZING God!
I just love how you show us there is more and more and more with God’s Word! It is limitless! I love that! It knows no bounds!
God bless you, mentor Angela, as you proclaim the wonder of His name and word! love and prayers!
