Clearly Evident

“Some men’s sins are clearly evident, proceeding them to judgment, but those of some men follow later.”

“Likewise, the good works of some are clearly evident, and those that are otherwise cannot be hidden.”Β  1 Timothy 5:24-25

I am encouraged that while sins may be hidden at times, good just can’t be.

Lord, may those who are hurting and lost clearly see the evidence of Your goodness today.Β  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Unhidden

You are a good God
Who does wondrous things
and all that You do through us
testifies and sings

clearly evidence
unable to be stopped
that You are Who You are
Your goodness rising to the top.

  1. Oh this is Wonderful, Wonderful, Sis Deb!! Such a simple and perfect Word–truly His great goodness rises and overflows, pouring out on us! God bless you abundantly as you seek to serve Him in all you do–praying for you a good day–much love, sis Caddo

  2. AMEN Debbie, what a wonderful truth knowing that the Lrod will always do good for His people and our the good that we do as we serve Him will always be recognized. Lord bless you.

  3. That is so true Debbie we do have un seen sins and though we may or may not know what they are that is why we must confess and repent each day..

  4. Good Word, Dear Debbie.
The Lord sees both the evil and the good-and will reward accordingly.
Thankfully, we can trust that His judgments are true

  5. so beautiful and so true……

  6. This is such a thought provoking post! Thank you for sharing it. God is good, and God is also love. Where ever there is evidence of those things the Lord is there, and whenever the Lord’s presence is evident, goodness mercy and love will always be at hand.

    Love,
    Theresa

“1 O lord, thou hast searched me, and known me. 2 Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.
3 Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.4 For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether.5 Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.7 Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.” Psalm 139:1-10

“6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.” Psalm 23:6

  7. Heather, that is true, but isn’t it encouraging that He rewards according to His ways which are immeasurably higher than ours? (Isaiah 55:6-9),also Psalm 103 πŸ™‚

Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord.

2 Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.

3 If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?

4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

5 I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.

6 My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.

7 Let Israel hope in the Lord: for with the Lord there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.

8 And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities. Psalm 130

  8. Surely His great goodness does rise and overflow! We see it everyday, everywhere! God bless you muchly, Sis Caddo Delight, and all the good you do! love you and thank you for the prayers!

  12. And thank you dear woman of the Word, for what you have blessed us with and added from Isaiah 55 and Psalm 1-3!

  13. May He encourage you, angel Terry, as you do good today . ..He sees you and what you do will not be hidden. God bless you greatly!

  14. Oh Theresa, my dear woman of the Word, thank you. For reasons sometimes only He knows, this has brought tears and comfort, deep down. Thank you for taking the time to bless us and to use the gift that He has given you. love you bunches and am thinking of you!

  15. thank you Debbie

  16. Love you, too, Deb!

I felt a little guilty after I posted my comments here, because I got a little carried away. Sometimes the urge just overcomes me and I just have to share, and then later I will still feel the same way about what I shared, but afraid that I should have shared it at my own blog rather than on someone else’s. I have this deep burden for those who struggle with grace…who might at times be afraid…

    Love,
    Theresa

  17. Never ever feel bad about sharing here! I LOVE it and NEED it . .it is so clearly from HIM. That said, I don’t think you can keep from doing it! He compels you and we are all blessed! love and hugs!

  18. “Lord, may those who are hurting and lost clearly see the evidence of Your goodness today”. Yes Lord. Amen.

May I never be responsible for blocking someone’s view of You.

    Thank you, Dearest Deb

    Blessings
    ann

  19. This is BEAUTIFUL Deb – reminds me a bit of Romans 1 where it says He has made His invisible qualities evident so that we are without excuse. Just love how you put it – clearly evidence unable to be stopped that You are Who You are Your goodness rising to the top.

Deb you have such a gift and I thank you for being so faithful to share it with us each day xx

  20. Oh Ann full of grace and song . ..I am praying now to not block anyone’s view of Him either! Wonderful insight and prayer . .thank you and God bless you as you bear evidence of His goodness today!

  21. Oh Aimee . .thank you for the Romans 1 addition to this. It fits so perfectly. YES! πŸ™‚ That is it . . .His goodness can’t really be hidden . . .we see it all around us. God bless you and thank you for always encouraging me so!!! love and prayers!

  22. “whatsoever you do, do it heartily as to the Lord, and not unto men, KNOWING that of the Lord you shall receive the reward” Col 3:23-24

God is no man’s debtor. Our God IS faithful. He will ALWAYS reward faithfulness to Him. Our God is good. He can be nothing but good (read absolute perfection). Our God is generous. His blessings are abundant and freely given.

May we so live that people we encounter will see *HIS* goodness and accept Him for Who He is.

    What an amazing God!

  23. Praying with you, dear Mentor Angela, that we so live that people will see HIS goodness and accept Him for Who He is . . all wonderful, good , generous and faithful! πŸ™‚ God bless you as you know Him and that He is good! love and prayers!

  24. Amen Deb! His goodness is so easily seen if I just look, Thanks for this reminder. I am going now to a time of thanksgiving prayer!

  25. God bless you as you see Him and His goodness everywhere! Thanksgiving prayers are so good and contagious. πŸ™‚

  26. “…who are hurting and lost clearly see the evidence of Your goodness today.” Encouraging Debbie, the word “evidence” stuck out to me. With that said, I thought of an old saying, which I’ll make personal. “If I was arrested for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict me?” Oh, may there always be evidence, of my relationship with Him! I really enjoyed this poem, and the message shared in it. Love and prayers.

    Paulette

  27. I can see the evidence of your relationship with Jesus from here! πŸ˜€ God bless you as His goodness shines forth bright in you! Love and prayers for you a good week!
