Storerooms

“And it grieved me bitterly; therefore I threw all of the household goods of Tobiah out of the room.”  Nehemiah 13:8

“Then I commanded them to cleanse the rooms; and I brought back into them the articles of the house of God, with the grain offering and the frankincense.”  Nehemiah 13:9

God has told me several times to store up His Word.

Lord, we desire to be storerooms filled with You for the needs of others.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Filled For Others

source – thehamandcheeseco.co.uk

You cleanse us, restore us
ready us for use
to be store rooms
filled with You

with Your Spirit, Your Word
love, mercy and grace
there will be nothing
that we can’t face.

I do a book of the Old Testament , then a book in the New Testament. Well, there are more Old Testament books and they are longer, so I am hanging out in there quite a bit . .. and loving it! 🙂

  16. Deb, Linda said it so well. The Lord has used you to provide manna for me during this season limited resources. You are so precious to me.

    Love,
    Theresa

  17. Deb I love the thought here. He does indeed fill us (firstly) with Himself; with His resources; with all we need to live victorious lives; with all we need to reach out to others with His love.

Then I think a bit further. We are ‘storehouses’ but we are also meant to be ‘transition houses’ – a store to draw from and to use, moving His blessings from us to others. Too often I tend to keep my storehouse full instead of passing it on – and if I am full, I can’t receive more can I? I need to keep on giving.

  18. Okay, now I’m going to cry. Love you, wonderful woman of the Word, and am so privileged to know you and get to call you friend and sister in Christ! Theresa, you are definitely a store house of His! How many times do you read a little something and then feel Him pour His word out of you? It’s like a beautiful waterfall!
God bless you and all that He is doing in you, for others!

  19. What an great thought and application, Mentor Angela! Transition houses always keep the resources moving, in and out. Love that and love you! God bless you as someone comes today, needing what He has provided you with . . .Jesus!

  20. I love the storing up with the word so we can fill the needs of others. Great Post, Deb.
    God Bless you & yours!

Praying this beautiful prayer alongside you.

Thank you do much for sharing. I agree, you do store much and share much with us in ‘simple’ ways we can understand.

    Blessings
    Ann

  25. Ps 119:11 (KJV)
    11) Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

    Lord bless you!
