“And it grieved me bitterly; therefore I threw all of the household goods of Tobiah out of the room.”  Nehemiah 13:8

“Then I commanded them to cleanse the rooms; and I brought back into them the articles of the house of God, with the grain offering and the frankincense.”  Nehemiah 13:9

God has told me several times to store up His Word.

Lord, we desire to be storerooms filled with You for the needs of others.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Filled For Others

source –

You cleanse us, restore us
ready us for use
to be store rooms
filled with You

with Your Spirit, Your Word
love, mercy and grace
there will be nothing
that we can’t face.

  1. Oh I like this, Sis Deb–the idea of being a storehouse for all He has, to pass out the blessings–definitely! God bless you abundantly today–love you much, sis Caddo

  2. What a wonderful image, of us being storerooms of love, mercy and grace. And as you say, only when He cleanses us can we become fit to be His vessels. God bless you and your beautiful words!

  3. AMEN He sure does..I have to say Debbie you know what I just noticed this today you use allot of the old testament…Have a great day

  4. wonderful!

  5. Storing up His Word, I really like that! 🙂

  6. Storing it up! Once I was making soup and had left the recipe across the room. I kept walking back to look at it and God spoke to my heart saying, “return to me all day like you do with this recipe”. It was amazing.

  7. I love this – the thought of us being storerooms for His Word and His grace. Kind of like the foodbank where those in need can come to be filled. 🙂 Peace, Linda

  8. God bless you and all of His love that you pass out today! love and prayers for your day and weekend, Sis Caddo Delight!

  9. You have me thinking now about how much more room there is when we ask Him to cleanse us and change what we are being used for. 🙂 God bless you Ali, and the sweet vessel you are for Him!

  10. God bless you, dear Desiray, as you hand out His word, love and grace to all who will receive it. I AM in the Old Testament alot! haha! I do a book of the Old Testament , then a book in the New Testament. Well, there are more Old Testament books and they are longer, so I am hanging out in there quite a bit . .. and loving it! 🙂

  11. God bless you wonderful angel Terry, and all you store up for others today!

  12. So glad, Ted! God bless all that you store up for Him and those He sends you!

  13. Oh Tammy! I LOVED that example of Him showing you to return to Him, store up with Him, all day long! You made my day! 🙂 God bless you, His beautiful store room of what is good and gracious and loving and true!

  14. Oh Linda . . .like the foodbank!!! Yes! We are to be like that! 🙂 Thank you and God bless you as people come seeking what you have and wanting Him too!

  15. Linda, I feel the same way.

  16. Deb, Linda said it so well. The Lord has used you to provide manna for me during this season limited resources. You are so precious to me.

  17. Deb I love the thought here. He does indeed fill us (firstly) with Himself; with His resources; with all we need to live victorious lives; with all we need to reach out to others with His love.

Then I think a bit further. We are ‘storehouses’ but we are also meant to be ‘transition houses’ – a store to draw from and to use, moving His blessings from us to others. Too often I tend to keep my storehouse full instead of passing it on – and if I am full, I can’t receive more can I? I need to keep on giving.

  18. Okay, now I’m going to cry. Love you, wonderful woman of the Word, and am so privileged to know you and get to call you friend and sister in Christ! Theresa, you are definitely a store house of His! How many times do you read a little something and then feel Him pour His word out of you? It’s like a beautiful waterfall!
God bless you and all that He is doing in you, for others!

  19. What an great thought and application, Mentor Angela! Transition houses always keep the resources moving, in and out. Love that and love you! God bless you as someone comes today, needing what He has provided you with . . .Jesus!

  20. I love the storing up with the word so we can fill the needs of others. Great Post, Deb.
    God Bless you & yours!

  21. Love you, Lady D, and praying for you as you store up with Jesus! God bless you and yours this weekend!

  22. thank you!

  23. Thanks much, Delightful One

“Lord, we desire to be storerooms filled with You for the needs of others. ”
Praying this beautiful prayer alongside you.

Thank you do much for sharing. I agree, you do store much and share much with us in ‘simple’ ways we can understand.

  24. I am thinking of all the songs He has stored up in you, that you share so timely and generously, dear Ann full of grace and song! 🙂 A music storeroom, of praise and worship! God bless you and all that He sends out of you for others! love and prayers for a great Sunday!

  25. Ps 119:11 (KJV)
    11) Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

    Lord bless you!

  26. Great verse, Pastor Rob! Thank you for bringing that to us, to help encourage us all the more to store up Him and His word. God bless you!
