Glorified

“Therefore we also pray always for you that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness and the work of faith with power,

that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.” 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12

Our glory comes from being in Christ.

Lord, may we live to glorify You.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

“And You In Him”

Then name of the Lord
is glorified in us

as our only hope
is found in Jesus

by the work of faith
with power and prayer

God counts us worthy
and fulfills us there.

  1. “…Then name of the Lord
    is glorified in us…”

This is really a big deal with the Father that His Son’s name is glorified in each of us. For it is Jesus’ name which is above all names and every knee will bow before Him at sometime. Praise His name.

  2. Great good word, Sis Deb!–God bless you BIG–love, sis Caddo

  4. >> “God counts us worthy” –
Totally beyond comprehension! How could the omnipotent, perfect, creator God count me – His created, imperfect (read grossly sinful) being – as “worthy”? Impossible!

Praise God, although it seems an impossibility, it is FACT!
The atoning work of Christ was so complete and so effective, that His righteousness is imputed to me, and the Almighty God can count me as worthy!

    What an amazing, awesome God!

  5. Anything that is good in us is only the result of the intervention of Christ in our lives. Thanks for another much needed reminder.

  6. Amen, sister.

  7. I really like this poem!

    “by the work of faith
    with power and prayer”

I enjoy pondering that. Faith is such a powerful thing, and it works it’s way through our whole being supplying us with that “peace that passes understanding” and enables us to be patient as we wait for those things that still remain “unseen”.

I needed this poem today. Thank you so much for sharing it.

    Love,
    Theresa
