“Arise, for this matter is your responsibility. We also will be with you. Be of good courage and do it.” Ezra 10:4
When I look at the word “responsibility”, I see “response” and “ability”.
Lord, I desire to respond with the abilities You’ve given me and to support others as they do the same. And here’s a simple poem . . .
God Given
We have God
given abilities
to do the work
that must be done
it is not up to
someone else to do
God is asking us
to be the ones.
*Dear friends, I won’t have much computer time for the next
couple of weeks. I’ll try to keep posting and replying to
comments here, but don’t think I’ll be able to read and comment
on your blogs. 😦 I think I’m experiencing withdrawal already!
I’ll be back asap to soak up your words. God bless you!
Such a timely word for me about taking responsibility for what is in my hands… using my resources wisely. A great breakdown of the word Deb! And all the best for the next couple of weeks 🙂
“…Arise, for this matter is your responsibility…”
This should be tattooed on me. So, I can read it often. God bless and have a great two weeks with Aub.
Wow Sis Deb! I must have missed that verse from Ezra–good one! And your poem is so perfect–God always equips and anoints us for whatever He appoints us to do. Sometimes the trick is to listen carefully for HIS voice, and not others–when we’re eager to respond. (Women sometimes think it’s “all up to us”!) Praying daily for your sabbatical–God bless you from His abundance each day. So much love to you and angel-Aubie–sis Caddo
Great post! I hope the Lord provides you with some special blessings over the next couple weeks! Love you and praying for you.

Sometimes the word responsibility seems like . ..punishment or a very heavy weight. But I love how you talked about it . .taking responsibility for what’s in your hands. Responding to what God has given you. 🙂 God bless you and able you to do what He has in mind for you!! Thank you so much for being here and encouraging me!
Mr. Larry . ..you would probably be the only one with THAT tattoo! 🙂 God bless you and thank you for praying for us! We’ll be surrounded by dogs and cats and lots of flowers to water!
I wondered Sis, if this is where the Nike ad come from “Do it”. 🙂 You are right about being careful to not take on responsibilities that aren’t really ours to have. Listening carefully with you to Him! God bless you as you do all He gives you to! love you and your prayers for us!
Oh wonderful woman of the Word . ..thank you! I am going into it much better than the last time, so will be looking and listening for Him and those special blessings! God bless you abundantly and give you peace and love! love and prayers!
Wonderful word, Encouraging Debbie! I’m glad to know that what the Lord has called me to do, He has also equipped me to do it. With that in mind, I know that I’m not going forth in my own strength, but in His!
Have a wonderful time, or should I say, have a “purrfect” time. I will keep you and Aubie in my prayers. Love you!
Paulette 🙂
I’m thankful we all have different God given abilities — it makes for a unique body of Christ! Great Post, Deb.
God Bless you & yours!
Yes, we are responsable – and we are also accountable. May we be faithful.
Debbie, whether your busy couple of weeks is holidaying or responsibilities or whatever, I know one thing. You are in the care of a Father who loves you and will be for you all you need. I know He will not only bless you, but use you to bless others.
I’ll miss you.
Angela
The way you broke down this word really opened my eyes to see responsibility in a new fresh way. Too often responsibility can become drudgery but not if one looks at it as using our God given ability to respond to His love in our life. Wow…. Thanks for sharing this wisdom. It touched me. Blessings on your travels : )
God bless you, praising Paulette! I love thinking about going forth in His strength! 🙂 What an amazing blessing and comfort that is! Thank you for your prayers for a purrfect time! 🙂 God is blessing us! love you and will miss your posts!!
I like that , Lady D . .a unique body of Christ. Yes! 🙂 God bless you and yours too!
Oh Mentor Angela . ..your comment made me cry! Thank you! We house sit for the family we also clean for. God does bless us and the family is so grateful for us to stay there and take care of things and animals for them. Aub and I can’t do much work . .but this is something that we can do together, so I know it’s from Him. Now, just to get a computer there . .. hhhmmm! haha!
God bless you as you stay responsible and accountable to your Jesus!
God bless you, sweet friend as you use what He gives you in such a beautiful way! You definitely have Response Ability! 🙂 Hope to read you more soon!
Thank you, Dearest Deb
“Lord, I desire to respond with the abilities You’ve given me and to support others as they do the same.”
Amen 🙂
Your prayer reminds me of the verse that says not to tell someone who needs help to come back tomorrow when we are able to help them right away.
Thanks for provoking my thoughts. It will be for good 😉
Blessings
ann
