“Now therefore, do not let Hezekiah deceive you or persuade you like this, and do not believe him; for no god of any nation or kingdom was able to deliver his people from my hand or the hand of my fathers. How much less will your God deliver you from my hand?” 2 Chronicles 32:15
In Hezekiah’s day, it wasn’t uncommon for a king who sought God to call for his entire nation to fast and pray.
Lord, we cry out to You , for we know only You can intervene in our lives. And here’s a simple poem . . .
Deliver Us
Oh Lord, make us a bowed down people
humbled under Your hand
make us a bowed down people
who in Your presence cannot stand
laid out by Your Glory
lips hushed while You speak
to our hearts crying out for mercy
for all to repent and seek.
“A bowed down people”–WOW, Sis Deb! That is a sincere heart-prayer so beautifully put!! “Humbled under His hand”–oh, I do pray that I could stay that way. Thank you Lord, for your faithfulness to us every hour of everyday. God bless you Sis–love, sis Caddo

Bowed down – humbled – listening. Yes Lord! That is our desire – and then, refreshed, invigorated and motivated by You, may we go out with Your message to those who do not know the blessedness of that experience.
Glory to God who called us, saved us, equipped us and sent us forth in His strength with His message. To HIM be all the praise!

“laid out by Your Glory
lips hushed while You speak”
Always have a problem with that being quiet and listening part. You seem to know just what to say and when I need to hear it. Today it’s hush your mouth and open your ears.
Well, it sounded like it wasn’t the easiest of days, Terry . . but I didn’t read your blog until after I’d responded to you here! God bless you and keep you encouraged and covered each day!
Awesome post, Deb. Praising Almighty God!

God bless you too, Lady D, and your bowed down heart and praise for Him!
