Turn Of Affairs

So the king did not listen to the people; for the turn of affairs was from God, that the LORD might fulfill His word which He had spoken by the hand of Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam the son of Nabat.”  2 Chronicles 10:15

How much are  the “turn of affairs” that we witness today from God, that He might fulfill His word?

Lord, we trust and believe that You are ultimately in control of all we see happening around us.  Please prepare us as You fulfill Your word.  And here is a simple poem . . .

From God

So easy to get sucked in
worried and afraid

that all we see happening
is man-made

but God is behind
each turn of affairs

and we can trust Him
as we continue on in prayer.

A Memorial Day thank you to all those who have lain down their lives.  Blessings and love.

  1. i loved that poem. i know god sees all the turmoil here on earth. our human nature is to ask when will it all end……….

  2. I was just thinking over some issues in America and wondering why they happened. Then, you wrote this poem. Very prophetic…I might add.

  3. I like this, Sis Deb–I’m definitely going to trust Him and continue on in prayer–it’s a lot simpler than trying to figure things out with my pea brain. God bless you as you continue on with Him today–much love, sis Caddo

  4. God bless you, angel Terry, as you trust Him with all the turmoil! It does make us wonder when! love and prayers for your day!

  5. God bless you, Larry, and the time you spend seeking Him and how He is fulfilling His word today.

  6. Love you, Sis Caddo Delight . . .and your joyful, creative brain, that trusts Him with a childlike faith that He loves! 😀 God bless you as you give all that happens over to Him! Thank you for being the incredible encourager you are!

  7. I just love this poem. My heart was rejoicing as I read it!

  8. It is such a blessing to know that our Lord is in control of all the circumstances of our lives. Lord bless. Great posting!

  9. Man’s extremities are God’s opportunities.
It is when man is at his lowest that he will look up.

We might be appalled by what is happening in our world – in our nation – in our family – but God is still on the throne. He is still in control. He still wants the very best for us. WE are safe and secure and know that He will undertake in His own way, in His own time. Meanwhile, we
“trust Him as we continue on in prayer.”

    What an amazing God.

  10. I’m so glad, wonderful woman of the Word! God bless you as you rejoice in Him today! love and prayers!

  11. It is a blessing and a comfort, Rob! God bless you and thank you for helping us remember this and think of Him each day!

  12. I loved your comment, mentor Angela. Just thinking about how He has it all in His mind and heart, to do good on our behalf . . .oh to trust Him more! Thank you and God bless you as You see Him in all that is going on!

  13. Thank you, Dearest Deb
Turmoils may come “but God is behind each turn of affairs”
How very comforting especially in this time of economic uncertainty and political happenings…
Thanks for the reassurance! Times and seasons are truly in His hands.

  14. God bless you, Ann full of Jesus grace and song, as you trust Him with all your times. Your faith inspires us and strengthens ours! love and prayers and thank you’s!

  15. As I was reading your poem, my mom came to mind. Every time I fret about a “turn of events,” she’s right there to remind me, that ultimately God is in control of everything. Her “famous” line is, “If you’re going to pray don’t worry, and if you’re going to worry don’t pray.” Thanks, Encouraging Debbie! God bless you today, and every day!

  16. Oh praising Paulette . . I love what your mom says! That is wonderful and going to stick with me! 🙂 God bless you through every turn of events, as He keeps His ever loving hand on you! love and prayers!
