Blow The Trumpet

“Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests regularly blew the trumpets before the ark of the covenant of God.” 1 Chronicles 16:6

The ark of the covenant was certainly something to trumpet about.

Lord, let us draw attention to Your greatness today.  And here’s a simple poem . . .

Many Looks

Let us trumpet
let us sing

about how worthy
is our King

may we continue
night and day

bringing many
looks Your way.

  1. This is so beautiful, Sis Deb–a prayer that as we speak and sing/write of Him, others will be drawn to look into His face–and come alive!! God bless you, dear one–love, sis Caddo Delight

  2. You got to be first, Sis! haha! I really like the way you put it best! 🙂 To look into His face and come alive. That gives me goosebumps!
    God bless you as you speak His great name and glorify Him today! love and prayers, Sis Caddo Delight!

  3. You and Caddo have put it so beautifully – may all glory go to Him! bless you Deb xx

  4. God’s glory is seen in so many ways. Nature displays His greatness with each passing day! Lord bless you Debbie!

  5. I am enjoying the beautiful expressions of worship, unto our King! As we lift our voices as trumpets with sweet melody, may many souls be drawn unto Thee, O LORD! God bless you, Encouraging Debbie, as you worship the Lord, today!

  6. Gabriel will one day soon blow the trumpet.

  7. very good

  8. “…Let us trumpet
    let us sing…”

    I like that God can’t be placed in my box. He’s too big. Although I may personally like spending quiet times with the Lord and being still before Him, that may not be what the Lord wants that day or that moment. He may desire loud and noisy and trumpets blaring.So, my job as a seeker is to walk in what He desires and not what I want.

    Father knows best.

  9. Haven’t had a chance to come by the blog in a while so I thought I’d say hello and congrats that you are still working on these daily devlotionals!

  10. God bless you, Aimee and the beautiful way you cause us to think and look to Him! love and prayers!

  11. I love seeing Him in nature! That is so true and a good point, Rob. God bless you as you point to Him today!

  12. God bless you too, Praising Him Paulette! You and your life sings to Him and gives Him all the attention and praise! love and prayers!

  13. We will certainly be looking then! 🙂 God bless you, Desiray, and your bible study in the park, drawing those there to look to Him!

  14. Thank you for stopping by, in the midst of everything! God bless you as you put Him first, and love deeply, in His name.

  15. Great comment and insight again, Larry! Thank you! I’m a little more shy and quiet . . .the trumpet blowing isn’t always easy for me, but if He puts one in my hands and gives me directions, I’m on it! haha! God bless you in the quiet and the noisy times of loving Him!

  16. Oh my goodness! Thank you, Jessie , for coming by and leaving a comment even! Yep, I’m still here. . .thanks to Him! 🙂 Praying your upcoming weekend goes great!

  17. Great stuff, Debbie … we’ve been given a trumpet of God to raise the dead, before the trumpet of God to raise the dead! ! Thessalonians 4:16

  18. I love this, Deb!
    I pray to be more transparent so that when people look my way, they look right through me and see our Father instead. I want to be out of the way so that The Way shines through me – like it does you!

  19. Gracious one . . .I see Him when I look at you . . .and I’m pretty far away even. 🙂 God bless you tonight, as you work and pray and shine His light. love and prayers . ..and thank you for yours!

  20. Oh Roger . . .I love it when you can stop by! This is terrific , a great use for our trumpets. God bless you as you call out in His name and for His glory today! 🙂

  21. “Let us trumpet
    let us sing”

    Oh Deb I’d love to play the trumpet and I’d love to be able to sing in tune (one day I will!) . . .

    OK so I can’t, but I CAN tell of His greatness. I can allow Him to rule in me and shine forth from me so that people will see HIM and HE will draw people to Himself. O Lord, what a privilege!

    What an amazing God!

  22. Oh that our blog community would continue to trumpet for Jesus and turn many eyes to Him! Loved this Deb!

  23. Thank you Mentor Angela, for the way You allow Him to draw others to Himself through your blog and your life! Your continual “what an amazing God!” is like a trumpet call for us to look at Him. 🙂 God bless you as you stay worshiping and looking at your Jesus! love and prayers!

  24. Before I started blogging, I had no idea that there was this wonderful trumpeting community , sounding out about His greatness. 🙂 Yay for what He can do and use! God bless you, Pastor J, and all the ways you get the Word out today.
