The Born

“To Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg (literally means division) for in his days the earth was divided; and his brother’s name was Joktan.”  1 Chronicles 1:19

Names often reflected what was happening in the people’s lives.

Lord, we thank You that every single person born is a momentous moment for You, and no one is unplanned. And here’s a simple poem . . .

New life comes
in such a fragile way
dependent, counting on us
needing help to stay.
So each one is loved
thought of endlessly
planned for, delighted in
by their Father King.

  1. Lovely poem/post, Debbie. I hope the little one will rebound quickly!
    God Bless You!

  2. “…Lord, we thank You that every single person born is a momentous moment for You, and no one is unplanned…”

You are so right when you say no one is unplanned! Lord bless

  14. Thank you for praying for her too, Sis Caddo Delight. She is precious. The last I’d heard was that she wasn’t responding well and they thought she’d had a stroke after her surgery. In this picture, she was trying to smile . . .for the first time. Love you and so glad to be back! It still felt more like an exile than a sabbatical. haha! Have to do something different for the next time! love you and God bless you and give you peace!

  15. Hi Encouraging Debbie,

Lovely words of encouragement. I will be praying for the little one! God bless you, and all you do for Him! Love and prayers!

  16. Hi Deb. I’ve missed your ‘simple poems’ and I haver thrilled to read this one. Thank you!

    >> “So each one is loved
    thought of endlessly
    planned for, delighted in
    by their Father King”

So true Deb, but some are not planned for, loved and delighted in by their natural parents. How sad!

I remember (how could I forget!?) the tremendous joy I felt when I knew, at 22 yrs old, that I was loved – not just loved, but loved by the omnipotent, Creator God of this universe! Incredible! To think that this amazing God could love me and adopt me into His own family still blows my mind away . . . but thank God it is a REALITY and one I could not doubt even for a second.

    What an amazing God!

  17. Oh Mentor Angela . .. you bring a whole new look at this, through your own experiences. Thank you, thank you, thank you! You have me praising Him now and praying for all those that have not been loved and cared for, to fall into His arms and know how much He loves them and thinks of them. God bless you and praying for His hand to be upon you and yours during the surgery time on the 20th.

  18. Thank you Deb. For a while there was a possibility of delay, because he has an infection, but it is clearing and should be clear in time for the surgery to proceed as planned.

  19. God bless you, praising Him Paulette, and thank you for praying! You are such a blessing! love you and am thankful for you!
