“But to the king of Judah, who sent you to inquire of the LORD . . .this manner you shall speak to him, ‘Thus says the LORD God of Israel: “Concerning the words which you have heard -” 2 Kings 22:18
“because your heart was tender, and you humbled yourself before the LORD when you heard what I spoke against this place and against its inhabitants, that they would become a desolation and a curse, and you tore your clothes and wept before Me, I also have heard you,” says the LORD.'” 2 Kings 22:19
We can’t go wrong with a tender and humble heart before God.
Lord, may my first response to You and others be one of tenderness and humility. And here’s a simple poem . . .
When a harder word
comes today
may I not stiffen
and turn away
but bend humbly
and tenderly pray
for Your great mercy
and love that saves.
Oh Sis, this is a rich word for us all tonight–I pray for my own heart to be more tender and humble. God bless you as you teach us from His Word and Heart. love, sis Caddo
What a miracle is the tender and humble heart, Debbie. If it was not a miracle I wouldn’t make it! Thanks for sharing the divine insight,
Roger

God bless you, Sis Caddo Delight, and the tenderness of your heart before Him and us. Love you!
God bless you, Betty, as you stay humble and tender with your Jesus!
Oh, that is so true Roger! Me neither! Thinking of how playdoh gets stiff if left out too long. That’s what happens to my heart and humility, if I don’t let Him keep molding me in His hands, keeping me soft and humble. God bless you and all that He does with you today!
Bam! You hit a home run with this one.
Thanks, Larry! You make me smile! 🙂 God bless you and your humble heart, that bends and breaks for Him!
I remember playing with paydoh talk about bringing back old memories…
A-men may God give us pliable hearts that cry “Lord have mercy!”
What a beautiful words… It is combined perfectly… Will you teach me?
😀 God bless you, Desiray, and your soft playdoh heart for Him!
I pray that too, with you, Pastor J! Thank you and God bless you and you come before Him each day, humbly!

Yes, please, Debbie – and one that He moulds to His own, kneading out all the ‘self’ impurities: one that readily responds as you have so adequately expressed in your ‘simple poem’.
How thankful I am that He continues His work, changing me and molding me (slowly but surely) into the person He wants me to be.
What an amazing God!
Thank you so much, Mentor Angela, for being here and leaving comments from a heart that is tender and humble before Him and us. God bless you, sweet lady, as He yet molds and holds you, and has great things in store for you!

😀 It’s a must have here Z, with my daughter. I am kind of limited time and skill wise, and get frustrated trying to find pictures so started trying to make some of my own to go with the posts. I won’t be winning any awards soon! haha! But, it’s fun and funny! God bless you and your tenderness toward Him and His desires for you!
