Be With The King

“You are to be with the king as he goes out and as he comes in.”  2 Kings 11:8

We have a King we need to stay close to, too.

Oh Lord, we long to be by Your side and go where You go today.  And here is a simple poem . . .

Every Step

He didn’t stay in one place
was always on the go

and His disciples did their best
to keep close and follow

and still His Spirit’s on the move
even now today

I pray to stay with Him
every step of the way.

  1. Great stuff. I love Kings. So inspirational.

The time he stayed with my family.. every step of the way

  2. I have missed you…I’m so slow in my aging days…not to mention this dang primordial soup can with two string computer I’m working with…but, ( not to dishearten, or down trodden the last commenter too bad I hope: at least I’m with you in the right Testament) I guess at times we all have to Speed Visit in Bloggerville…Love ya…
    Bless You

PS. like his disciples …I too am trying to keep up…

  3. Just added you to my Blogroll….
    I think ?.. I haven’t confirmed it yet…but, waiting for the jury to return….
    Yep…you’re in there…

  4. The cure to boredom is not curiosity, it’s living close to God for life that’s less than ordinary. I never realized how boring my life was until the King has taken me by the storm 😉

The King’s hands are more than big enough to hold us all together — for a exciting walk 🙂

  5. Debbie,

Walking with HIm everyday accomplishes much. Two of the greatest accomplishments are having His guidance for life’s issues that we face and then as we follow His leadings, as lives become wonderful testimonies for Him! Thank you so much for reminding me of the importance of walking with HIm! Lord bless you.

  6. God bless you and yours, and your wonderful testimony! So glad He is with you and you are with Him! 🙂 Thanks for coming by and commenting!

  7. Dear Paul, you are doing great! Keeping up with Jesus is much more important than keeping up with reading blogs. 🙂
God bless you and your soup can, as you stay close to Him!

  8. Thank you Paul . . .going to take down info and try to get you added to mine too! I often forget about the blog roll thing! Note to anyone else – if you are reading and I don’t have you down yet . . .please just ask me and I will gladly do it.
God bless you, Paul, as you go with Him today!

  9. Oh my sweet spoon . . .I do imagine you could use a little boredom about now! 😉 I love that we get to walk together with Him! Yay! God bless you and carry you today, closer still to His heart!
    love and prayers!

  10. God bless you, Rob, and the testimonial walk you have with Him! And thank you for leaving such nice comments! 🙂

  11. Walking with Him and being int-une is what we must do.because last thing we want is to be in error towards the spirit. AMEN

  12. ****FREE ADVICE**** I recommend that everyone should read the chapter Debbie is basing her poetry and article on for that day. In that way, you will pick up some great nuggets of truth. For instance, in 2 Kings 11, a prince is saved and protected for six years by living in a bedroom and then crowned king at seven years old. And a queen is executed. Exciting material.

    Great job Debbie.

  13. This is great Debbie…excellent reminder to me and all of your other readers.

  14. Sis Deb, this is wonderfully encouraging today–which, I confess, surprises me–so I must be doing better than I thought! Yay, God!!! There are days when “staying on the move” sounds challenging and exhausting–but maybe because it’s Friday, I can say, “I’m ready–let’s GO, GOD!” Praying for you and all who’ve come to church today–Let the joy of the Lord strengthen all!! love, sis Caddo

  15. >> “I pray to stay with Him every step of the way”
and I thank and praise my God that it is not just up to me to do so. My inclination is to wander off and do my own thing but HE keeps me. HE makes sure I do not wander and HE lovingly draws me back to Himself when I do. It is all about HIM.

    What an amazing God!

  16. Thank you, dear Desiray! God bless you as you stay in tune and in step with Jesus!

  17. I love free advice . . .especially yours! There is so much going on when I pick just a verse or two. I don’t want to take things out of context, so reading the whole thing would be a wonderful idea!!! God bless you, Larry, as you stay with Him today!

  18. God bless you as you walk and write with Him! 🙂

  19. Yay, Sis Caddo on the go, delighted to be with her Jesus! Loving letting the joy of the Lord be my strength today! love and prayers and blessings!

  20. Thank you, Mentor Angela, for reminding us that He helps us. ..He keeps us and covers us and draws us to Him. Your comments make me relax and just praise Him, because He’s such an amazing God! God bless you, dear beloved by Him!

  21. And there’s more, Sis–I’ve just given you 2 awards that I know you don’t really care about, but you already gave me permission to nominate you, so there!! Love you, Sis!

  22. Thank you so much, Delightful one! You always bless me, and then you give me awards too! Wow! God bless you and all the plans He has for you! love and prayers!
