Recovery

“So David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away, and David rescued his two wives.”  1 Samuel 30:18
“And nothing of theirs was lacking, either small or great; sons or daughters, spoil or anything which they had taken from them; David recovered all.”  1 Samuel 30:15

As a confirmation of what He would restore to me, God once returned 3 items within a week that I thought were lost for good.

Lord, we cry out like David and his men, that all the enemy has taken be returned and restored to us. And here’s a simple poem . . .

All Will Be Returned

What has been taken
I will return to you

in full measure
it will be restored

for I’m in the business
of recovering

all that’s been lost
to thief and by force.

  1. I claim this word now for my Christian brother who is right now trying to “recover” his children… a battle that has been going on for three years. He left a few days ago to travel hundreds of miles… AGAIN!

Many women chose to separate or depart and keep their children away from their fathers to “punish” their husbands. This is stealing and is very cruel on loving Dads… especially when their wives commit adultery on them and are living with another man and telling the children to call him “dad” This is a nightmare for many men where their whole life is changed and there’s no thanks for years of providing for them. I have heard there are is at least one suicide a week in Australia by grieving, deserted fathers. The children become very estranged and brainwashed by their mother’s attitudes. They may get used to living without “dad” but dad doesn’t get used to it! They are sometimes called “Dads in Distress”. Unless there has been violence / abuse or drunkedness… both fathers and their children need each other with agreed to terms of access. This is traumatic for the children too.

My brother has not been able to get access at all and still has stress, grief and trauma to deal with. He has managed to find her each time she moves.. but then she secretly moves again. He can’t afford private detectives. Nothing can be done by law unless he has her address. Fortunately he saw one of the sons yesterday as they have some contact by mobile phones. Would appreciate prayer about this.
Thanks Deb. God bless you for your diligence in continually seeking the Lord…Susan.

  2. Your comment has me crying. Praying with you tonight, crying out to God, to restore to your brother his children, their love, and his life of being a father to them. May He also bring him a wife who will love him and be his help mate, respecting and honoring him and being a good mom to his children.
God bless you and thank you for sharing about this, dear Susan!
    love and prayers!

  3. Oh Deb…thank you for sharing the precious truth the Lord shares with you. They just come bubbling out like a fountain. 23Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.

24And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil.

25And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.

26And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.

27And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.Joel 2:24-27

    Love, Theresa

  4. Thanks, Deb

I had a comment to post about something (NOW SO INSIGNIFICANT!) that was stolen from me,but reading Susan’s comment put life in a whole new perspective. Thanks for being the bridge, Deb. I think Papa is trying to teach me what’s important … to Him.

Susan, I am praying…. (Can’t say much else…every now and then words fail me but the Holy Spirit ‘groans’ on our behalf)

Thankful He is in the business of restoration.

    Blessings all,
    ann

  8. Larry, thank you so much for your prayers . . .always, always. 🙂

God brought back to me little things . . .like a lost pen, a water bottle cap and a chapstick. It was when I was working, but wanting to be home for my children more, and He told me He would restore that time I had lost by being away from them. And He did! 🙂

God bless you Larry, and I’m believing for all to be restored to you as well!

  9. Sister Deb,

  10. Deb I wanted to cry when I saw your scripture for today – even before I’d read anything I could hear God saying a season of restoration is coming for many. Thanks for encouraging us today and may He continue to remind you that He will restore back to you what you carry in your heart. Bless you xx

  11. Okay, Kenisha our Prayer warrior Princess . .. your comment has me crying too. Thank you for pouring out the most beautiful powerful prayers. There is so much evidence of Him in your life that it floods the internet. Praying for you as well, amazing daughter of the King, that you hear Him singing and dancing over you, for you are a delight to Him.
God bless you and be your Restorer Extraordinare!

  12. Wow sweet Aimee, what a blessing! How exciting to know our God and that He is moving and planning much in the days ahead. Thank you for being here, for the time you take to share His word and write your blog, and for the ways that your life glorifies Him and leads others to Him. God bless you and restore back to you as well, beautiful one!

  13. Debbie, I just love this! Who doesn’t have a story about something He has given back to us by His grace, and mercy on us sinners. I feel guilty asking sometimes, but your poem has reminded me that it’s okay.

    Just lovely… really good stuff! Hugs… : )

  14. Debbie, this was lovely. That which God has restored to me was never material… it was faith, hope, love, and a need to stand up for others who are down on their luck.

I’m sorry about those who are in mourning for all they have lost, especially the first post, the dad. It’s a hard issue, emotional, and the kids always suffer. I’ll pray for all concerned tonight, including the mom. Love, Amy

  15. I’m so glad that He restores those kind of things that no one else can. 🙂 God bless you, lovely Linda, and thanking Him for restoring to you much already, and even more in the days ahead.
    hugs to you too! ❤

  16. Thank you so much for your prayers and for being here, Amy! The things He restored to you are the most important kind of things. That God can do that and wants to do that, brings more tears. And thank you for praying for the mom too . . .yes, me too, with you.
God bless you, amazing Amy, and your ministry to those in need.

  17. Hi Debs… Lovely message of hope and restoration. Really encouraged me… I really love this one… Thanks for listening to the Lord’s voice and being led by the Spirit! You are an edifier and comforter for sure thru Jesus. Thank God for you!
When I first read the post, it blessed me as to think I will recover all lost material things, but I never thought about relationships until I read Susan’s comments. It broke my heart to think of someone going thru such pain. I thought about my earthly father too… The Lord comforted me with this verse and maybe Susan could pass this on to her brother.

He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers – Malachi 4:6

His Word never returns void! It is a promise we got to hang on to and claim in Jesus name for situations as such. Blessings and love as always to you and your loved ones. God restores double fold! I believe it!

  18. I receive that word Deb! May God restore the years that the Locusts have eaten!

  19. Sweet Ritas, thank you for the Malachi verse! Praying for you too, and knowing that He will restore what has been taken from you, that He is recovering even now those things most dear to your heart within His loving relationship with you.
God bless you and your deep and abiding faith in Him! 🙂
    love you!

  20. Yes, Pastor J! God bless you as you trust Him more and more, and know from where your help comes!

  21. I am trusting for restorations….and thankful for your post. So, so much here. Thank you, Deb!!!!

  22. I will trust with you, Angel A, and pray for it too, for you. God bless you and return that which He meant for you to have. Praying for His peace in the process of that happening in your life!

  23. Oh, this is so excellent, Deb! I never get enough of hearing Bible teachers remind me that God will give me “double for my trouble”–yes, Lord!!

  24. I’ve never heard that dear Caddo! Double for my trouble. .. 🙂 That makes me smile too!
God bless you as He restores you today!

  25. Amen and Amen and Amen… God bless you…. love you muchhhh
